Model Reviewed: TSX

Strength:

Manual transmission, handling, long list of features, best value in its class.

Weakness:

Could have a few more ponies.

Owned for 2 months. Great Car. Quick, but not fast, but gets great mileage and is very fun to drive. 6 speed is fantastic. Navigation is flawless and voice recognition is excellent. I like the looks much more than BMW, Audi, SAAB, etc... Quality is and materials are outstanding. Fit and finish is second to none. List of features will add 8-10k to competitors, making this car 8-10k less than competitors. After two months, I still smile whenever I get behind the wheel.

EVERYTHING

Weakness:

Could have a stonger engine. Also, everybody is basically still paying sticker for them, at least here in VA... Which sucks...

Best car I've ever owned

Strength:

Engine, transmission, suspension, sound system, seat comfort, dual climate control, Xenon high intensity discharge headlights, low emission vehicle, value for the money, Acura (Honda) reliability....

Weakness:

The design of the front grille is a slight weak point, but for me a very minor drawback. (I thinks that BMW has the best front end design in the business)

Unlike many new purchases, where the excitement wanes relatively soon, my enthusiasm and thrill of driving only increses with time. The car is tight and silky smooth with all the amenities included (except the navigation system) for no extra charge. Acceleration is very good and handling is great. The following are stats are from the June 2003 Car and Driver Magazine that may be of interest. The first column is acceleration from 0-60 in seconds. The second is skid pad results in G's (higher the number the better) BMW 325i 7.0 0.86 Acura TSX 7.2 0.85 Lexus IS300 7.2 0.78 There are so many personal factors involved in buying a car: finances, status, perceived value, performance, reliability, etc.. Each person must weigh these factors and come up with the right vehicle for them. Nowadays there are so many really good cars that the choice is actually both easier and harder. From my experience I would say that anyone looking into a four door sports sedan should definitely take a look at the TSX.

Strength:

looks, sport shifter alot of fun

Weakness:

weak engine v-4 when it should be v-6 with more hp, no torque so slow off the line until vetec kicks in

i test drove this car about 3-4 months ago. this car comes with a 200hp i-vetc with 165lb-feet of torque. it has the same engine as the accord v-4 except it has been retuned to give 200hp instead of 160. i drove the one with sports shifter boy this car was alot of fun to drive, i thought i was driving a sports car, and it had a really good audio system. I recently bought a 2003 toyota corolla and i feel that the toyota has more refinement and also it is quieter and smother than the TSX it has lexus quality insulation, dampers and the tsx didn't feel as good as the corolla, and it was not fast my corolla could beat it. it weighs according to the dealer 3500-3600 vs, 2500 for the corolla. and it costs close it 30k save your money and get a lexus IS 300 it will beat this car any day get it with the sports shifer
