Strength:

With almost 300,000 miles the 3800 motor is very strong and reliable

Weakness:

The heat is very strange, little or none off and on. Front power windows very slow.

I have a 91 LeSabre with 290,000 original miles. Uses no oil and runs/drives great. The body is very solid and looks decent. I would buy another but it would have to be a 92 or up. I prefer the newer style in 92.

Strength:

The engine is smooth and the accessories are convient.

Weakness:

The Brakes were not covered under the 36,000 mile warranty? I had to pay $180.00 to get the front brakes replaced at 20,000 miles. The Tire Alignment seemed to be wrong from the begining, the tires were rotated And I was told by the Buick Dealership that the car was with-in spiecificaisns. The tires were ruined and I had to replace all four at 25,000 miles.I also had the car re-aligned by a tire dealer and now the car handles better and the tires are wearing even.

I like the ride and the room in the car.

Strength:

3.8 Liter V-6, fit and finish, quiet ride. The perfect highway cruiser for a long trip.

Weakness:

Chintzy plastic secondary sun shades (my Eighty-Eight has cloth secondary shades)though the LeSabre has the extenders on the primary shades (my Eighty-Eight doesn't have them). The front center armrest cupholder has a chintzy plastic construction that doesn't lock shut very well when not in use.

This car has snappy looks (black coach roof over silver body) and the venerable 3.8 liter V-6 that is simply bulletproof. I like this car just as much as my Eighty-Eight and it is more luxurious in many ways. The rain-sensitive windshield, the climate, stereo and cruise controls in the steering wheel spokes, even seat warmers. The grey leather seats are sharp and durable. The seat controls are very ergonomic. My wife just loves this car.

Strength:

great looking car

Weakness:

did not last, for sure did not get to enjoy the leather seats or the limited additions

Well this car seemed it would last but when rear ended the seats broke back and the tire jack flew out,not much fun when you are trying to avoid hitting in the front to be lying down, but for tops at 25.000 kilometers the intake manifold caused the car to explode, result total loss

Big back seat, gets a lot of attention

slow acceleraton and wastes tons of gas(less than 8 miles to the gallon)Damn!!!

My first car. I love it. Has a 455 V-8. since the car weighs 5500 pounds it accelerates a little slow but fun car to drive in. Everybody waves at me and all the old folk say "I had one just like it, what year?" Has a huge trunk that I put my 3 12" Oz Audio subs powered a Cadence Ultradrive Z1200 Amp.

Very reliable,safe,roomy,looks nice,good gas mileage,strong engine

Weakness:

None

My family has owned this car for six years and plan to keep it as long as it still goes.It is very comfortable and a lot of interior and trunk room,it looks nice and runs excellent.Very good gas mileage and no major problems, except last year we replaced something in the computer because the car kept overheating and we replaced the fan for the heater. The car has137,000 miles on it and it is all origional. The transmission is still good and it isn''t slipping even though it has high miles. The paint is still shiny and it is starting to fade on the rear fenders. The paint is not peeling and there is very little rust behind the rear doors and around the rear wheel wells. The front passenger power window is slow and sometimes gets stuck and dosent go up all the way. We''ve had other GM cars but none of them were as good or as big as this car. I would gladly get another Buuick. This car is very reliable and the 3800 v-6 is very powerful and just right for this car. This is very reliable it hasn''t brokendown and has been well cared for and garage kept for the last 12 years. This is a very luxorious car and you couldnt get anything better for the money. I feel very safe in this car and it would protect me in a crash unlike a puddlejumper or a riceburner. This is how a real car should be built.

Strength:

-Big and Comfy like a couch! -3.8 is super reliable

Weakness:

-Rattles quite a bit (most likely from the stereo system). -Understeers alot -Front power windows are really slow -Transmission is iffy -Rusts fast

When I got my drivers license, my father decided to buy me a LeSabre off of his friend who needed a new car. The car had 280,000 kilometers, but for $1500, it was decent. I was quite disappointed because I was looking for something considerably smaller with a manual transmission, but I got use to the car and I even push it hard sometimes. Fastest I have done in it was only 185 Kms, but it felt like it had some more left >:).I''ve had it for over a year and it now has 305,000 kilometers on it and the engine is still running strong! Only real gripe is when accelerated hard, the transmission doesn''t particularly like it. The brakes were redone last week, tires rotated, etc. Last month the heater fan was replaced as well as an electronic chip for the timing belt (forget what it was called). I also put a deck, an 800 watt amp and 2 12" subs in it. The car sounds great with just them together with the stock speakers! I also put tinted windows (Lol) but it looks different than anything else out there. This thing eats stock Hondas for lunch.

Strength:

Reliability is number 1. This has been my main family car now for 10 years and I wouldn''t let my wife and children drive in the car if it were a lemon! Maintenence has been easy and repairs have been few and far between. If you have kids, the spacious back seat is a huge plus! Plenty of trunk space.

Weakness:

Handling is a bit soft. Interior is somewhat plain. Rear windows only go down halfway.

When they say ''Wouldn''t you really rather have a Buick?'' your response should be a resounding YES! After 10 years and about 120,000 miles this car has been a pleasure to drive and to own. It has been ultimately reliable and we''ve made only neccesary repairs (altenator, tires, etc...). Yes my friends give me a hard time about my ''old foggy'' car (I bought it when I was 31 yrs. old), but I''d do it again in a minute. As a matter of fact, I''m going to be selling soon, but only because I see an opportunity to get a newer Buick!

Strength:

Fuel efficiency, roomy, and comfortable.

Weakness:

THE ENGINE!!!! I had the car for a little over a year and my engine just blew without notice. The car had about 79,000 miles. Another weakness is that nasty body roll.

This was a great car. Very luxurious, nice pickup, but it had a sour engine! Sh*t hit the fan with this lemon at about 79,000 miles. Enough said about this car.

Strength:

Good mechanical reliability, good performance.

Weakness:

All modern Buicks have cheap window motors. The master cylindr on the 1992 leaks at the o ring seals in cold weather, and the original Buick rear wheel cylinders were shot at 4 years.

I love the luxury of these cars. The engines are smooth and so is the traansmission. Although I would recommend them to anyone, the 1993 has started peeling tthe paint.

I own a 1993 Ultra which is great except the window leak air at 60 mph.
