Strength:

Great handling, very quick and easy to whip in and out of traffic, lots of leg room in front seats, alot of storage/ massive trunk, cant beat the 35 to 40 mpg, suprisingly the frame solid in accident, realy smooth ride.

Weakness:

very prone to dings, dents, and scratches. radio is not the best.

i am not in love with my aveo but it saves me alot of money and is dependable. It held up great in my roll-over accident, with only moderate body damage, and i am still driving it around 4 months later. Parts are also relativly cheap as well.Plus you get a tax break with it being an economy car. This car is a TANK!!!

Strength:

It runs, keeps the wind, bugs and cold off while driving. MP 3 jack in, power windows, mirrors and door locks

Weakness:

Everything

I've ridden in golf carts that were funner to drive and better handling. I would look at every other car in it's class and every other used car before purchasing this.

Strength:

Love the pep of the car and the super responsive steering. I really love the feel of the car and the way the seats set up. It's super roomy and is a great little car. I have no regrets!

Weakness:

The front bumper is a bit weak--I hit a raccoon on my way home one day and split the bumper.

Overall, this is a great little car. I couldn't be happier. :)

Strength:

Gas mileage.

Weakness:

sound in speakers are low.Not good for snow or driving up hills. Horsepower isn't that great.

I have a 2005 chev aveo. When I apply the brakes, they get hard to push down and stop the car. I usually have to pull over and shift the car in park. It only happens in the morning. I notified Mr. Tire while getting a regular scheduled oil change on 4/3/10 and they checked my brakes to not find anything but suggested the brake booster. I waited for the part to come in for a week and a half. I got a new brake booster on 4/21/10 and new brakes on 5/2/10 but the problem still exist. It is not everyday but it happens often enough for me to cause some concern. I have taken the car back to Mr. Tire and they claim that after driving it, they have not experience the issue. I have spent alot of money and I think I was given a misdiagnosis.

Strength:

Very smooth and quiet, handles well, comfortable and feels safe. Gas mileage is good at 36 MPG.

Weakness:

Soft suspension, reverse is hard to shift into.

I love my Aveo! I have a victory red 5 door hatchback, and it was the special value model so it came without A/C and has manual everything, which I like. I like the high sitting position, feels like you're in a bigger car. It's very comfortable and the car handles great. The manual transmission is smooth, though it took awhile to figure out the reverse gear position. I like the styling much better than the awful sedans and newer hatchbacks they came out with recently. It stands out from the rest of the traffic on the road. I recommend the Aveo for anyone who wants a cure for the common Corolla! lol

Strength:

The stereo sounds alright. The dealer handles warranty work, gracefully.

Weakness:

The car is crap, already had the main engine wiring harness replaced, and waiting on new throttle assy, trying to correct previously mentioned problems.

Originally the gas mileage was decent, but now it has gone way south. About 27 mpg overall, has dropped to about 20 maybe. The car hesitates at take off and surges at cruising speeds.
