a wee bit noisy when traveling above 65mph. The noise is from the road and korean tyres. I changed the tyres on my 1st car and the noise went down.

Read so much about unavailablity of spare parts for the Daewoo Laganza in USA and lots of complaints about the dealers and workshop. I know that Daewoo had been bought over by General Motor (GM) and they are now called GM-Daewoo. In Singapore, GM-Daewoo spent 2 months and SGD 300,000 to revamp the whole showroom. That is the kind of money and confidence GM has on Daewoo Cars. I am total HAPPY with my Laganza. In fact, I am so happy that I bought a second car within 3 years! This car is everything a luxury car has, less the price tag. Cars in Singapore are expensive, no matter which model, due to government levy. Here in Singapore, I have no problems at all getting any spare parts I wanted. If you need any spare parts, I'd be happy to ship them to you. It is a nice looking car

Daewoo is Korean for "The piece of junk that will rob you of all your money and leave you with nothing but pile of manure" Stay away from this vehicle and this company.

Bought the Daewoo in 2000. For 6 months it was the best car I have ever driven. Except of course that my stereo didn't work correctly. I took the vehicle in 6 times to have the stereo repaired and it never was. The interior lights did not work. They claimed to fix them but 2 weeks later they broke. The emergency gas shutoff valve did not work correctly and would come on every once in a while leaving my wife stranded. The sunroof fell apart at 1 year. The stereo never was fixed throughout the time it was under warranty and to this day does not play in stereo. Sad to think that Daewoo is an electronics company! Finally this month 4/03 after taking great care of the car (ie oil changes, visits to the shop for minor problems, etc. the timing belt broke and bent the valves in the car. Total repair cost? $3000. Because Daewoo is bankrupt, no one will touch the car for a trade in. The most I got for an offer was $1500 after repairs. What a WASTE!

I LOVE THIS CAR, IT HAD 24K ON IT WHEN WE BOUGHT IT,IT HAS ALL THE PERKS OF A HONDA ACCORD..AT A GREAT PRICE...PARTS WILL BE EASYER TO FIND SINCE GM BOUT THEM...SO I DONT THINK THAT WILL BE A PROB ANY MORE...ITS A GREAT CAR , I LOVE IT !!!!

inerior light, cup holder, takes off slow and sometimes drags

So far it has given me no major problems, but I've noticed the interior light in the car sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't when I open the door to get in or out (like it has a mind of it's own, it comes on when it feels like it), it's does takes off slow as I've read in another review and the cup holders are a piece of crap. I do like the car and would buy another at this point. It's good on gas, spacious, looks luxurious and rides very smooth

The car looks and runs great. I have had only one problem with the car since I bought it. The power sunroof quit working. I took it to a local mech. and he had it working within 1/2 an hour. The car runs perfectly on the highway and I have yet to experience any problems.

THE TACHOMETER HAS A SHORT IN IT AND WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY SAY IT IS FIXED AND IT NEVER IS. NOW WE ARE OUT OF WARRANTY AND IT IS STILL NOT FIXED. THE EMERGENCY BREAK HASN'T WORKED FOREVER AND THEY SAY THEY FIX IT AND OFCOURSE THE WARRANTY RAN OUT AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE USE EIGHT HUNDRED TO FIX IT NOW. THE CUP HOLDER UP FRONT BROKE. WE TAKE SUPER GOOD CARE OF OUR VEHICLES AND THIS ONE IS STILL FALLING APART. WE CAN'T GET MORE THAN THREE THOUSAND TRADE FOR IT AND WE OWE ALOT MOR THAN THAT. IT RUNS FINE AND IS NICE TO RIDE IN BUT IS NOT A SAFE CAR. WE ARE GETTING RID OF IT AND STAYING WITH AMERICAN.

Can't get parts No one wants to trade No power Oh Yeah the cup holders suck!! In whole the car is a weakness.

Junk is not the word for this p.o.s!!!!! We drove the car for 1 whole year with no heat, my children froze everytime we had to drive the car!(In the winter).I took the vehicle to Duncan's service Dept. 3 time's before they finally told me the Heater core was the problem. Now 11 mos. later we have a new heater core, But after our wonderful service dept. Installed the heater core our window's won't roll up and now we have a transmission problem, which supposedly the warranty will not cover( Imagine That ) We have tried to trade this vehicle but there is no one interested in trading for this P.O.S!!! All we want is a reliable vehicle. I also found out through our insurance provider that we are paying full coverage premium on a car that is worth around $3,000.00 And I owe alot more than that!!!!!! Beware if you total your daewoo don't expect it to be paid for .(Boy did we get taken on this one. )Thank's Brad !!!!!!!
