Strength:

Styling, Handling, potential!! The Aftermarket scene for this vehicle is out of control and growing daily. Spend a little money and you can really make this car something!

Weakness:

Road Noise (easily combatible with DynaMat) Stock Suspension way to soft, allowing for excessive body roll when cornering hard.

I bought this car new, and have yet to regret it. I simply love this car. I have been modifying it, since some of the baselines are a little soft, however it was FUN to drive even before any modifications. Suspension upgrade was a substantial improvement in cornering, as body roll can be an issue in this car. Overall, a great car for a great price....and it can smoke quite a number of its'' competitors both on the line and high-end. I drive this car hard, and have for nearly 2 years, and it is just plain FUN!

Strength:

Roomy, alot roomier than my 93 Probe. It''s a sharp looking little car after you lower it about 2 inches. Easy to get more power out of the car for less than you''d expect.

Weakness:

Back window covers up with dust very quickly because of the car''s shape and my dirt roads.

What a great car! I like it alot. I''ve had no problems at all. All of the other people here that complain about replacing their brakes need to brake light and early, not jam them at the last second. There is nothing wrong with this car.

Strength:

Interior and exterior styling; interior headroom, shoulder room, and legroom; zippy available engine (and standard engine if you know how to make it zippy); awesome-sounding stereo; superior ride and handling; value for money; dependability.

Weakness:

The only thing I''m disappointed with is its fuel economy. But I''m lead-footed, and I shift late to maximize horsepower, so I shouldn''t complain. I wish I had bought this BEFORE I had a Civic, instead of discovering it after.

I love my Focus! Those who knock it, haven''t taken one on a test drive to see how it corners at high speeds. Handling is superior to all cars in its class, and believe me, I''ve driven all cars in this class! Stock stereo is the best I''ve heard... only one in its class that comes close is the Nissan Sentra''s. Trunk struts that don''t intrude into the cargo area to crush your stuff, power windows and keyless entry on some of the most basic models, headroom and legroom in the front... the list goes on and on. I love my Focus, I love the looks I get when I''m driving it (it''s pretty flashy with the rims and whatnot), and I wouldn''t trade it for any other car in its class.

Great handling, growing aftermarket support, lots of room, 0.0% financing, and unique styling

Weakness:

needs all wheel drive and a turbocharger

I''ve had more fun with this car in the past six months than I''ve had with any other car I have owned. The handling is great and the engine is smooth and powerful(for an econo-box) though I would recomend that you get a 5-speed. It looks great and is very roomy. For those who want to be different this is the most bang for the buck and if you like to customize your cars the aftermarket is growing bigger by the day. I would and have recomended the focus to all my friends and anyone looking a new car. As for the complaints about the car they were just because it was the cars first year and Ford has addressed most if not all of these problems.

I wish we had the same ones Europe gets! Brake dust

I love my car! It is my first new car so I wasn''t used to dealing with recalls, but they weren''t bad. The service at the dealership where I bought the car sucked when it had small problems which got me really aggravated in the beginning. I changed service places and now I love it again.

Bit lackin at the line, get confused w/ the typical ricer and the CRV

Its tough to say something about this car that hasnt already been said. So if I repeat anybody, Im sorry. The first thing you notice about this car is its unique styling. An angry bubble. I heard some one call it that once, and Id have to agree. Its shape is a bit outlandish. But once inside, it all come together. if you knock this car, its gonna come after you in a way only an angry bubble can. Its a bit lacking on the power at the line, but once its goin, its fast. and the stereo, especialy stock, is killer. Id want no other car.

The Focus seems to be getting a bad rep. Yes, it''s had a couple problems, but nothing that wasn''t easily fixed. I love my car! I get great gas mileage, and I feel safe driving it. It has a great look to it and it handles really well. Just my $.02.

Great handling, decent transmission (positive feeling shifter), interior quality superior to that of other cars in the same price range, unique look, and a growing aftermarket.

Weakness:

The car is a bit underpowered, and the recalls were annoying.

At first, the car started off on the wrong foot with me. It needed a transmission rebuild after 100miles on the odometer due to improper transport from the factory. It also had a few recalls which were annoying. Despite the rough start, the car has grown on me and I plan on keeping it for a long time as a hobby car.

Weakness:

Zetec 2 liter engine is a bit slow to rev. However, the aftermarket support is growing exponentially for this little car. And modifing the Zetec has proven to have positive results for many who have tried it.

It''s a damn good little car. I love the handling. And adding aftermarket suspension only improves the vehicles handling dynamics. The car looks sharp. People always give me compliments on it''s clever design. The interior is very comfortable and quite for LONG trips that I often take. This is a great little car.
