ZX3
Strength:
I like the overall design of the car, inside and out. It has a very spacious interior and a decent layout.
Weakness:
The service from Ford and the dealer. I should explain. I was in an accident after owning the car for @1month, in July, I am still waiting for parts from the manufacturer to complete the job(Three months). I paid $13877.00 for a loaded ZX3, including an aftermarket electric spoiler style moonroof. Great deal, bad service. Would greatly recommend the car, not the dealer. What else can I say that hasen't already been said. BEAUTIFUL just what I needed out of a car sporty, reasonably priced, quick. Huge aftermarket parts response, they have everything out from superchargers to gears. Not to mention the body styling, the rear window lines are what sold me.
Weakness:
NO RED LINE! And that annoying little traction control program built into the CPU, you know the one that holds you back at the line. For the money its the best. I looked into a Honda Civic Si, and a Subaru Impreza RS. I liked what I found out about both cars, they had features and ammenaties that the Focus didn't. But I can spend what I did on my car and afford to add some nice parts onto it, reach the performance level of the other cars, and save a few bucks in the process. Besides I love to tinker with projects like this. Similar Products Used: 2 Accords, Taurus, much better than both |

gosh, what don't i like? i love the way it handles in the rain, i love the idea of the keyless remote.I must say it is really quick, before you know it you are doing 65 miles an hour and not even realize it.Also the gas mileage is pretty good too.
Weakness:
the only problem i have with the car is that the sun visor comes down too far for me, but other than that that i love it. although, if you are pretty tall this might not be the best car for you. i paid about 15,000 for the car and i got all kinds of extras with it. i would definetly recommend it.. ZX3 Kona Edition
Strength:
The way it looks and the way it drives. I was looking at a full size F-150, but have liked the way the Focus looked since it was introduced. Asked the Salesperson if I could drive one and knew I had to have it.
Weakness:
Would have liked a console and a sunroof. Mileage in town is not what I expected, but it's not bad either, around 23 mpg in town. Might be me "gittin on it" a bit too. I would recommend this car in a heart beat, especially someone looking for a ton of features for a reasonable price. I paid $15,200 for mine and it has everything except abs and side airbags. The Kona edition even has 16" alloy wheels with low profile tires, a bike rack, and a special edition color Ford calls Dirt. Not to mention it comes with a $600 to $700 Kona mountain bike. The milage and wipers yes the car has everything I need to get around town and the city. The car has a unique appeal to it and even though it is a first yr car in N.A. I think it will do well. The car is sporty with 130hp and feels really secure when travelling at 140 km/hr or more. The mileage could be better for a small car at 425 km/49 L. The price was reasonable. This car is in need of a sunroof though. should be an option. that it Similar Products Used: Volkwagon Golf, Honda Civic |

Wiper controls feel chintzy. This car is in a class by itself. Just really driving it prompted me to write a review! I used to think all American cars sucked.... until I drove the focus. It's got attitude, decent acceleration, AGILE handling (with stock tires I might add) and is just totally fun to drive. Enterprise limits customers to 150 mi/day. I kind of exceeded that for only having it for a day so far (167 mi). I KNOW my next car that I purchase WILL be a Focus. Good to see Ford getting back on the right track!!! Styling, this car is cool... I've had a several people come up to me and comment on just how much they liked my car. 16" alloy wheels with low-pro tires, seat covers, floor mats, and the rest of the package, even the "dirt" colored paint job. fuel efficient
Weakness:
wasn't able to get it with abs... oh well $15,690... what a value, I love the handling of the car.. it just begs to be driven... although the light that goes on every time you need to shift is a bit irritating, but the more than 35 mpg i am getting is well worth it. this car is sweet... i would recommend it to anyone Similar Products Used: 97 pontiac sunfire, 98 chevy malibu, 01 chevy monte carlo |

Finest auto for the money that I have ever owned! This car has refinement. Excellent handling. Being a large man, it has a very roomy interior, having purchased another 2000 small car a few months earlier, I traded it in for the ZX3, finding it to be too small. The interior looks like it is out of a $30k car. The dash texture is detailed and rich looking. Heating AC unit is easy to use and cools the car down very well. We are currently experiencing 100+ degree temperatures. Seats are comfortable and supportive. Drivers seat also goes up and down. All the controls are easy to get to and use. This car puts a smile back on my face, it is fun to drive.
Weakness:
Lower MPG than expected but is improving with miles. $14,400.00 includes Auto Transmission, AM/FM/CD, Air Conditioning, ZTec Engine, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Cruise Control. This car is a steal. Similar Products Used: 99 Olds Silhoulette, Buick Century. I have owned a 87 Honda Prelude SI, paid $20K for it, loved the car. Love this one as much. |

This car puts my old ZX2 to shame! The handling is excellent, the smooth ride is astonding, and the Zetec engine is even better. The audio system is awesome! The interior design is perfect. The seat adjustments and audio and climate controls are perfect. I like that the car sits higher and is easier to navigate with less blind spots than the ZX2. I think the sport bucket seats are comfortable and the exterior styling is cool, funky, and very retro!!! I love all of the attention my Autumn Orange ZX3 is getting in this conversative-minded town!!! I almost feel like a celebrity!!! Sorry Chrysler, but I think my orange Focus hatchback is getting longer looks than your Cruiser!
Weakness:
I sunroof would be nice... I paid a little more than I had too, but I didn't care! For $15,000 I have the 4-speed automatic with A/C, multi-spoked aluminum wheels, medium graphite interior and autumn orange exterior. Local dealer didn't have what I wanted so they brought one in from another state! The excellent service I received at the dealer (Greene Ford-Gainesville, GA) compensated for the extra cost! Similar Products Used: Ford Escort ZX2, Honda Civic...this car puts these two models to shame. I have also driven a mid-sized Toyota Camry. I love my Focus ZX3 a whole lot more. |

Great handling, fun to drive, great car for the money, roomy, and options. I am still waiting on the GT model and the Focus R if that is Ford names them. I have heard the GT will come with 160HP and 220HP for the Focus R. Being someone that has never liked econocars, this car has made me think again.
Weakness:
If there is anything I have to complain about, it's the dealer service. My dealer did not know how to properly install the alarm right. It's different, and for $19,000 fully loaded after tax with an extended service plan, oil changes for 75,000 miles paid for, chrome, leather, and tinted windows. You can even get it with a noise compensation radio. Not many cars can say that especially for such a low price. Yes I definately would recommend this car, especially for all those Civic owners whom, by the way, I have caught taking several looks at my Focus. It offers a better car for the money. If you are waiting for more power that is also in the works. Similar Products Used: As I said, used to big vehicles, and if I look for a smaller one, it will definately be a Focus. |
