Strength:

A perfect balance of performance and fuel economy. Excelent electrical system, a beatiful engine, and it's bullet body style. Strong performance and handling.

Weakness:

No mayor faults. The sunroof rust.

i am the original owner. My 88 yellow CRX si has 89,000 miles, the BEST vehicle by far. I consider my Honda a classic. The car's engine and accesories are all original equipment.

Strength:

Everything. Everything is perfectly placed inside (it's all about the driver). Plus--$9.00 to fill my gas tank. Also---It took 7 minutes to wash and spray wax top to bottom, And----It never picked up any strange oder, Furthermore-----it had beautifully textured and thick-grade quality interior plastic, not like the cheapy stiff in newer cars. This car will never look dated. It's a classic already.

Weakness:

Other vehicles running it to it, apparently. Damn them all! Econoline vans should be outlawed, not tinted windows for christ's sake. *even though it was totaled (smashed from both ends)The engine still purred like a kitten and drove away from the scene in one piece.

This past weekend my CRX was totaled by a careless driver in a huge van. It was white with blue interior. I'm still coming to grips with it (the whole loss). That car was my baby, my best friend, for the past 8 years. We traveled the country together,NYC, Chicago, New Orleans. It was with me all thru my college years and beyond, I bought it a whole new engine when it own engine had lost its strength to carry on. I replaced the locks when someone tried to break in and violate it and I bought it new tires after a vandel slashed them. People can do terrible things when they are jealous. I also bought it a new stero system when it could no longer bring the Howard Stern show to my ears for my commute to work evey morning. It helped me move in and out of 5 apartments with its enormous trunk capacity. I came to its defence many times when mechanics would do it wrong (If I had a dime for every time new brakes were installed incorrectly)or when I would get traffic tickets for it's tinted windows, I refused to strip it from it's unique charm. Friends must always look out for one another. I tried to look out for it as much as I humanly could. I'm sorry I could'nt help you this time old friend.

Strength:

Great seats (supposedly built by Recaro) hold you tight when taking tight corners. Light weight makes it seem a lot quicker than you would think. Only 105 HP stock, but it moves! Many upgrades available to make it even faster. Looks great! Just drive it and you'll see what I mean.

Weakness:

No power locks, windows, mirrors. Most of these are starting to rust and the seats are worn. But there are some perfect ones out there to be found. The fact that they aren't making this car anymore. The dumbest thing Honda ever did was take this out of production.

Sweetest car ever! I had an 88 DX for a few years in college. Traded it in for a 95 Civic EX a few years ago, and started missing my REX. So I just bought a used 1990 SI with only 45k miles on it! It's 13 years old, but looks brand new. It's the best car I've ever owned. It's quick, small, light, super fun, looks awesome!

Weakness:

-Too bad they didnt have a super sport model. V6 or a 150-200hp Turbo version....(mouth watering now) They stopped making it and replaced it with the UGLY del'sol (what an slap in the face to the Crix).

I bought my CRX Si brand new back in 1989. I 100% loved that car. It was yellow with upgraded 1990 wheels on it. I had some of the best driving experiences of my life in that car. On the highway the agility of the car was incredible. I remember leaving many higher priced cars behind and when it came time to get down on the highway with traffic not many cars can keep up with the Crix. Back in 1990 my friend did not beleive that my lil Crix could reach 200klm an hour so i took him for a run and buried the needle at 200klm indicated, he freaked and wanted one after that. I sold that car in 1994 (BIG MISTAKE) and regretted it ever since. One of the few bang for buck cars of the 80's that TODAY still looks slick.. Toyota Mr2 Turbo 1994+ and the VW CORRADO G30-VR6. These cars are classic's and even though their 13 years + old there Still sweet.
