Strength:

None.

Weakness:

No resale value, totally unreliable, rude and indifferent customer service.

I literally do not have enough space to type all the problems I've had with this heap of garbage. Despite regular maintanance and not abusing the car, I have had to put over $1300 in repairs and mainantence into it. 2.5 years, and less then 35,000 miles. The warranty is a complete scam, a repair will not be covered if the failure is due to a non-warranted part...of which there are many. Also does not cover the 50 million buzzes and rattles. Will NEVER buy a Kia again. They should be sued and shut down for selling lemons. I'll be lucky to get

Model Reviewed: Kia Rio Cinco

Strength:

Price, dependability, fuel efficiency, power, comfort and style. (It looks different than your "run of the mill" cars out there these days. The carrying capacity in the back is incredible... as much as a station wagon!

Weakness:

The backseat becomes useless for passengers for larger folks.

The Kia Rio Cinco is a vehicle which is extremely dependable, reliable, fuel efficient, "spunky" and a pleasure to drive. Inspite of the fact that I am a large man, I am more comfortable in this car than most larger vehicles, notably Mercury Grand Marquis to name one. We ended up with more features than we wanted, but, overall, we believe that it was well worth the money. One of the most impressive things about this car is that it got me safely from home to work during one of the worst blizzards ever here in the Puget Sound area. While that may not sound like much to those in the colder climes, the weather was so bad that newscasters were advising folks to stay home in no uncertain terms. However, I missed those warnings and ended up in the midst of it. Our Cinco handled beautifully, leaving SUV's and other larger vehicles behind it as they wound up in the ditch. I've owned a number of cars in many sizes and shapes but none surpasses the Kia Rio Cinco. As if that isn't enough, however, there are numerous "nice touches", little extras that give the feeling that one is in a luxury car. Of course, then there's the warranty and free roadside assistance... Top of the Line! Or as we said initially, we bought the warranty and the car came with it.

Model Reviewed: RX-V (Cinco) Convience package

Strength:

Nicely equipped Adequate gas mileage The little conviences of arm rest and lumbar for driver Heated mirrors Easy to drive Nice interior Kia Road side assistance was polite

Weakness:

Had to use Kia road side assistance Constant engine light Faulty transmission

This is my first new car. I shopped for 3 months, and picked the Kia Rio RX-V. I have put on 2400 km (1500mi) in 3 weeks. To date I have had the engine light on for a total of 2000km (1250mi) with 4 trips back to the dealer to fix. They still cannot find the cause of the engine light. Kia has said the engine light was due to the gas cap. I really get upset with that excuse. If they know what it is, then fix it. On a day that I was to leave my car for the dealer to repair the engine light problem, the transmission went. I was on my way to the dealership. It has been in the shop for 10 days without any repairs yet. I am to say the least, very disappointed. I haven't even made my first payment, and the car has been in the shop almost constantly. I don't know if it is a good car yet. I really wanted this car because of the warranty offered and the price was better than any other import or domestic in its class. I bought this car because gas was costing too much to run my big Chev C1500 pickup. My truck has 560,000km (350,000mi) all on the same engine/tranny. I don't know if I can trust my new car at this point. It funny because I really wanted this car, and now I don't know if I would buy this one again. I look at it and still like what I see, but I am gun-shy when I drive it. Every manufacturer has a lemon come off the line, I guess it was my turn to get one. Time will tell.
