Strength:

NONE!!!

Weakness:

EVERYTHING!!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAR TO MY WORST ENEMY. THE LIST OF THINGS BEGINS WITH..
1.THE BRAKES-IN THE SHOP 8 TIMES FOR ROTORS, PADS, ADJUSTING AND WHAT EVER ELSE IS WRONG AT THAT TIME WITH THEM. I HAVE HAD TWO ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THE BRAKES. I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF LEMON LAW.
2.EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE WAS SNAPPED. THANK GOD I DID NOT TRY TO USE IT WHEN THE BRAKES FAILED.
3.TRUNK LIGHT SENSOR -BROKE
4.GEAR SHIFT LOCK -BROKE
5.AIR-BAG IN STEERING WHEEL -WARPED
6.MOLDING AROUND WINSHIELD CAME FLYING OFF ON THE HIGHWAY.
7.SPLASH GUARD FELL OFF TWICE
8.A/C MAKES A LOUD SQUEELING NOISE -THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.
9.HOOD LATCH WAS BROKE -CAN YOU SEE THAT FLYING OFF ON THE HIGHWAY.
10.SHIFT SOLENOID -BROKE
AS I SIT HERE AND WRITE THIS I AM ON HOLD FOR THE DEALER TO TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BRAKES NOW. THIS WILL BE THE 9TH TIME.
THIS CAR IS A DEATH TRAP. I HAVE USED MOST OF MY VACATION TIME AT THE DEALERSHIP. I AM ON A PERSONNAL LEVEL WITH SOME OF THE SERVICE TECHS, THAT IS PRETTY SAD. I WOULD NOT RECOMMED THIS CAR TO ANYONE LIKE I SAID BEFORE. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BUILT THE CAR FOR KIA, FIXING EVERY THING ON IT. I AM AFFRAID TO TAKE MY KIDS IN THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE BRAKES. ONE OF THE CARS I DID HIT HAD TWO YOUNG CHILDREN IN IT. I DONT KNOW WHEN THE BRAKES WILL DECIDE NOT TO WORK. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS WITH THE PEOPLE THAT WORK AT THE DEALERSHIP OR DONT REALLY CARE TO MUCH ABOUT YOUR SAFETY THEN BUY THIS CAR.

Model Reviewed: Kia Sephia

Strength:

Looks, price, comfort, gas mileage and compact size.

Weakness:

Had to bring it in once to get an exhaust weld fixed, that's it.

The car runs very good, a great value for the price paid and looks nice. It gets great gas mileage and performs well in city or highway driving.
This is the first foreign car that I've purchased and am quite impressed with the Sephia, it takes corners well, accelarates quick at lower speeds and rides smooth on the highway. Owned for 7 months and have put 5,000 miles on it.

Strength:

The car looks good and the paint still shines nice. The AC blows cold even when it's 95 + outside. No engine problems except for new gaskets and Thermostat.

Weakness:

The car will bottom out if you go up a driveway to fast. Needs a lift kit or bigger tires. Brakes are lousy. Parts are hard to find, you have to go to the dealer.

I pound on this car every day delivering food in the Myrtle beach area so I have had some problems with it. Transmission went at 35,000 miles. Iv'e had the brakes changed at least 4 or 5 times. The Kia people cannot get the brakes right. They take good care of you the first year and a half and then make you pay for things that should be covered on the warranty. Engine power is ok for a small car but is a little noisy.
I had to change the door handle on the driver side. The engine light goes on for no reason till you disconnect the battery and reset it. For the most part the car takes a good beating considering how much I drive it.

More comfort and style than other cars in its class but the mechanics need more improvement to match the rest of the car.

Weakness:

None so far.

Although I have owned it only a brief time, I am greatly impressed by this up and coming car. I'd heard a lot of negative things connected to the Kia cars, but being the rebel that I am(and a poor one at that), I decided that due to the warranties I'd give it a shot.
Within the first three days of ownership, I encountered thirty Kia Sephias on the road, seventeen Kia Rios, and about fifteen Kia Sportages. That's a lot of Kias. Either Kia's doing a better job, or there's a lot of rebels on the road.
The next day, which was the Saturday after I purchased it, the dealership was having a "Get To Know Your Kia" day for owners.
The mechanic was very pleasant and informative. He went over the car from the hood to the trunk, explaining where the oil dipsticks were located, how to read the coolant stick, how to get the best gas mileage, etc. What I like about my trunk is it's very roomy, and has a child safety feature as well.
Owners of Camrys and Accords have ridden in my car and been very impressed with the room and smooth ride. So far I would recommend this
car if you're on a tight budget and want something dependable, and comfortable.

If I have problems with this car, I WILL be writing another review!

The Kia reminds me of my old car. Durable, great on gas, "the little car that could". I really hated the fact that my Escort threw a rod, but I think I will be very happy with the Kia. I think people are surprised when I zoom past them, and they realize it's a Kia with that much acceleration power.
