great on gas , a powerful motor in the 2.3 and not as much in the i's and it has all of the airbags.
Weakness:
brake dust, the winening of the car when you start it overall a great car for your money I think it is a great little car for your money and it has right many opitions on it to cost as much as it does and is really good about handling and performance on the highways and roads Similar Products Used: pt. honda civic, mazda 626 |

Looks good. Great gas mileage. Comfortable
Weakness:
Little rough riding and road noise (but better than my 99 Mazda). Love Mazdas, but the seat covers in this one are way below par. They snag and fray at the slightest abrasion (commone jewelry, velcro pocket fastners). Company replaced when car had only 7,500 miles because they looked so bad, but, though I try to be careful, another 7,500 miles have them looking pretty bad. Local dealer rep said he didn't think company would do much for me though he agreed that the material appeared inferior for auto seat covers. Similar Products Used: Honda Civic |

Strength:
Great handling and gas mileage. Very fast little car with lots of room for cargo. Fun to drive.
Weakness:
No spin on oil filter. Need to add distilled water to the battery. Interior is hard to keep clean. I have the 2.3 5 speed standard tranny with pwr windows. I now have 15K miles on it with no problems. I change my own oil and have no problems except, I would like a spin on oil filter instead of the replaceable cartridge type. Also a maintenance free battery would be nice. My cheaper Hyundai has both of these features. Similar Products Used: Volvo C70 convertible. Hyundai Tuscon. |

Looks nice
Weakness:
Poor quality and Poor service at Mazda Mines a lemon. It has an oil leak that the Dealer can't fix. They've tried to repair it three time already. I've owned the car for less than three months. It's been in the shop 20% of the time. Stay away from this car and if you have one check it for oil leaks. Similar Products Used: Honda Civi is a better car |

Mazda 3GX
Strength:
Panic Break Assist, Pretensioner, Airbags, Crumple zones ability to absorb impact
Weakness:
minimal impact, maximum damage. Car should have been able to withstand this impact a bit better. First of all, i purchased a 2007 Mazda 3 GX with optional Automatic and Air that added about 2k on top of the already 17k base model. No other options were chosen and the dealership installed aftermarket audio for me at no charge to compensate for not being able to afford a GX model.

Mazda 3i
Strength:
value/price, dependability, handling
Weakness:
no power doors no power windows, weak side panels, stock cloth seats often causes static charge I was looking for a new car and looked into the comparison of many similar vehicles but for the price and value this is one of the best buys. I had it for 2 years already driven about 48k and had no maintenance on it at all. I wore out the stock TOYO tires which handled well at 45k and have been given the car oil changes about every 4000 miles. The cars obvious weakness is no power doors, windows for the 3i version going with the s version you would get it standard, I chose not to get it because the engine was only a lil more powerful and to spend the extra $4000 or so upgrade was not on my agenda for a few mere extra features and only a 20 hp boost. Particularly if one is looking into this category of vehicles. I had a lady back into my vehicle in her new Toyota Camry and the cars bumper stood the test, her Camry's bumper was smashed in while I only had a few scratches. However the side panels of the Mazda 3 do seem less durable. I also take hard sharp corners on this car and it handles well out performing a 2006 Mustang Convertible that I tested out as well. Overall to sum it up it's a great bang for the buck. If you are looking for more accessories for luxury I would suggest a different car. Tires
This car has caused nothing but problems since the day I bought it. Just months after buying it, the six-disc cd changer had to be replaced (two more replacements followed), the glove compartment latch has been replaced twice, the car dents very easily (there are many visible door dings), the tires needed replaced after only 15,000 miles, takes multiple times to start in heat or cold, brakes needed replaced after 20,000 miles, interior scratches very easily, among other things. The car does drive fairly well, but the cost of upkeep vs. what the actual warranty covers is not worth it. Not a good value for a compact car if you want to be able to afford maintenance. Mazda 3 Hatchback
Strength:
Snappy acceleration. Handles great. Sharp looks. The body is solid and rigid. I wil definately purchase an other Mazda. Reasonably priced
Weakness:
None as far as mechanical. Design wise only a few suggestions. Drivers left floor doesn't have a "dummy" pedal to rest your foot and I drive a lot so eventually I may wear a hole in the carpet. Undercarriage shield covers the oil filter so you have to unscrew 6 screws to gain access. It's a pain if you change it yourself. This review is for a 2007 hatchback.
