Strength:
Smooth ride, great acceleration, excellent value, looks good. Interior materials are good. Seats are comfortable.
Weakness:
Brake calipers rust easily. Lots of brake dust at the rear wheel. Paint chips easily on hood. Need winter tires because of the 17" low profiles. Long term reliabilty is yet to be tested since this is a fairly new car. Great car overall. Few minor weaknesses. |

Power, appearance(this car is beautiful especially in winning blue) all the above class options like zenons. the little details like rainsensing wipers and auto lights. safety.. (volvo standards) upgraded interior in the grand touring
Weakness:
Leaking sunroof after a few months that put 2 inches of water on my passenger side floor, and then the a/c drain leaked in the same place. the dealership gave me a horrid 2001 mazda 626 as a loaner the first time and then gave me an 05 mazda 3 I (which was fun to drive) *interior rattles are annoying, as well as no second cig lighter(nothing major) and the dealership screwed up my bose subwoofer when they removed my seat ;-( Well after test driving the 3 in august of 04 with my bestfriend she beat me to the bunch and bought one a year later and my dad bought me an Acura RSX (*crap*) I loved her 04 3s it drove beautifully and was so peppy, so in January of 06 i went and bought the 3sgt with all the options, Navigation to heated seats even bose. The car is hands down the best in its class and the best in surrounding classes. Ive had a few issues with it, and hopefully there all done. Otherwise its a great vehicle Similar Products Used: Acura RSX (pretty car and thats it rode horribly and had no power, very bland) Acura integra (great car) Honda civic (cute and nimble-same as rsx but cheaper) Acura TSX~ Mazda 3 but 6 grand more not worth it! |

radiator hoses tend to go bad often[only reliability flaw] Ive owned the following cars--BMW M3, Toyota Supra Twin Turbo ,Chevy Corvette, Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo, Ford Taurus SHO ,VW GTI 1.8t, and the WRX is BY FAR the most fun to drive. It is also quite reliable. I have found a car that I will keep until it falls apart[if ever] I would only consider buying another Subaru.[ perhaps an sti] AMAZING CAR. I get great gas mileage. The look is fierce...people stop and look quite a bit. The interior is roomy. This was good value for the money.
Weakness:
Cornering is a challenge but I'm adapting to the uneven distribution of the weight in the car. Love this car. Got a lot of flack for it when I bought it..was told that Mazda's were no good. So far all the naysayers have been proven wrong. Similar Products Used: Honda Civic, Subaru Legacy |

Weakness:
No trunk release on the key chain and the interior tends to scratch and show marks easily. LOVE,LOVE LOVE my mazda 3! It is so fun to drive and handles great, can turn on a dime. A fast sporty little car but with plenty of room in the back for passangers. Similar Products Used: Dodge avenger |

Strength:
Fun to drive. long warrentee. Comfortable seats. I enjoy the leather.
Weakness:
Rims are bad. They are rusting in less than a year. I had two of them bent in a pot hole. It is terrible in the snow. Must get snow tires. Tires only last 25000 miles due to the 17" rims. Tires cost at least 30% more due to being on 17" rims and have to be special ordered. I have had several recall issues. Several issues with trying to contact the mazda dealer. Would call and call and could not get through to make an appointment. Lots of design and reliability issues with this car. Fun to drive. Similar Products Used: Pontiac Vibe, Subaru Leagcy |

Amazing car, many standard features for a low price, zippy engine, good gas mileage, considerably low on insurance, leather seats, 6CD Changer, Sunroof, 17 inch rims, and it's the best looking compact car on the road!
Weakness:
I wish there was a trunk release button on the key fob, but thats it, the car is great in every other aspect! I bought the car in October of 2005, in Winning Blue, all I can say is WOW!!! Picking this car was the best decision I ever made, it fits all my needs and exceeds all my expectations! Similar Products Used: none |

Mazda 3
Strength:
The 3 is a really nice looking car inside and out. I like how it feels sporty and light when driving it.
Weakness:
My tires are just over a year old and they are "cupping". This is uneven wear do to rough roads and potholes. I need to be clear that this damage has resulted from paved roads. The dealer told me these cars are really light in front so we need to pay close attention to the wheel alignment. Have the car aligned once a year or whenever it drives on really rough roads. The brakes on my 3 are really squeaky. This probably started at about 20,000km. The windshield wipers have never worked well. It doesn't wipe cleanly but causes blurring. I am also experiencing issues with the carpets, mainly on the driver's side where the matt connects to the floor. The paint on my hood has also chipped easily. I bought the mazda in June of 2005. Most of the miles I have put on it are highway miles. Overall, I am pleased with the car. I really love how it looks and how it drives. Similar Products Used: No similar products used. This is my first foreign car. I drove an Oldsmobile Aurora and a Cutlass before the Mazda. |
