Weakness:

Dont count on ever carrying more then 3 ppl in the car. They just wont fit! =)
Damn speed governer cuts me off at 185 kmph! =(

I bought my 90 Nissan 240sx Hatchback in the summer of 2000 for $4700 canadian. Im 18 and it was my first car ever. I had been searching for cars for 6 months and finaly decided the 240 was the best bet for the $$. My red nissan is a 5spd, cruise control, sunroof, ABS, 4wheel disc, A/C, power windows/locks/mirrors/antena, spoiler, aluminum wheels, but no leather or Hicas suspension.

I genualy LOVE the car. If you are a young adult like myself, you cant find a better bang for your buck. The girls love it, the guys are jealous of it, it wont break down on you, and it doesnt cost a fortune! What more can ya ask for?

Power: The torquy 2.4l, 4cylinder has enough grunt to murder most of the tweaked civics that try and race. Peeling the rear wheel drive tires is very easy to do

Control: The sporty 5spd transmition shifts naturaly. It FEELS like a sports car. Its a little scarry in the rain and snow (with out GOOD tires) but its very fun.

Style: This car can look like a million bucks. With some newer rims and wax job, my car looks like its a $15,000 dollar ride! (canadian) The girls (and my girlfreind!) love it.

enjoy!

90-93 Acura Integra - Too expensive. Nice style tho
90-94 Eagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse - Cheap ones are half dead, and decent ones are way too much money. I love the AWD tho

I would recomend this car to sprorts car enthusiast's or anyone that wants spectacular speed, awsome handling, great style, awesome looks and everything you could want in a car all for a low price! The 240 SX is one of the best sports cars that are under $30,000 so you can keep a little extra money in your wallet for body kits, stereo system and whatever else you want.

Strength:

This car has the best handling in its class. Has plenty of power. Its style will beat any cars ( with bodykit ). Handling, handling, handling!!!

Weakness:

6ft can't feet in this car. You can't keep your back straight if you are over 6ft. Other than that...NONE!

This is one of the best cars out in the market. 240 has the sweetest clutch. Handling is krazeeee. Rear-wheel drive!!! Nissan should've brought the Japanese version of 240sx, Silvia. It definitely would have killed the sales of Hondas, Toyotas, and Acuras. ( Mine's the same as Japanese though)
If u have an extra $ 5,000, get the SR20DET engine. It'll change this car into a monster. I kill Ameican V-8 everyday..really reliable too!
Fast.fast.fast!!!

Prelude ( 240 will out handle any day ), maybe Integra...

Strength:

I love its looks, Pop-Ups lights, people here in the UK just don't know what it is - which is what I love about it. It has a powerful turbo which thumps it from 0-60mph in 6.8 seconds and onto 140mph. Lovely!

Weakness:

Not much/many. Hi- insurance I suppose, expensive brake discs.

This car is known as the Nissan 200SX (S13) in the UK (The one I have) and also as the 180SX in Japan/Australia, 240SX in USA.

Try and get a 1991+ model as they were facelifted (Better looking!)

For the money you can't get a better looking, quicker, more fun car to fly passed people in. Check out my website which includes a 200SX page:

I love it, you will love it. Get one!

Killier handling. Amazing pick-up can be made even better with modifications. Love the styling, I just beat an Integra man this car is fun. I never can get enough of it. I have had it a little less than three year and it hasn't requried any major work except tuning, oil change, and a brake job. It also gives good gas milage.

Weakness:

Hydroplanes in rain, could use cup holders, and a better stereo.

Highly recomended becuse of power, weight distribution, and handling. And best of good gas millage. If you are really intrested in this car buy a standard/5 speed, will give you the best performace.

Strength:

It is a great handling car considering its size and weight. It will shock you how much power the stock 155hp will actually do. And if you bear down into it, there is a lot of upgrades that you can perform to improve hp to say like 235 like mine!

Weakness:

Insurance. I wanted this car for a while and I finally got one, but I am paying for it. There isn't much back seat room in this car, but if I wanted back seat room I would have got something different! The trunk space, well I am a little disapointed in the ammount of cubic feet it has. And last, the stock radio had to go.

I would recomend this car to anyone who just wants to have fun when they drive! It will blow your mind away!

Strength:

I love the styling of this car. In my opinion it's absolutley gorgeous, probably the coolest looking American Nissan car ever built, with the possible exception of the late 300ZX's. It's pretty rare as well. I have seen exactly 3 on the road since I bought mine about 10 months ago. It also has very good handling and road feel on dry pavement. RWD is excellent and it has decent pick up as well.

Weakness:

It could use a bit more pick up in the low RPM range. Drive it with O/D off and I have found that it accelerates much better (16.1 -> 15.9 in 1/4 mi.) Also this car is downright scary to drive in the snow(hey I live in Maine) and severe rain.

I would reccomend this car to anyone who wants a sport compact with out the annoyance of VTEC with about the same HP count and ALOT more torque(SCC, May '99, pg.10). Don't buy this car if you need to put people in the backseat or if you have back problems. This car has adequate room in the front seat, but it is pretty low to the ground, so getting in and out might be a problem for some older folks.

Similar Products Used:

96'Honda Civic EX(Civic is a pain in the ass to drive because you need to constantly rev it to get any power), 93'Mazda MX-6 LS(About as quick, 240 handles better), '94 Honda Prelude SI(same as Civic), '93 BMW 318IS modified(still slower than my 240 and the beamer had a chip, exhaust, and intake mods., the 318 handled slightly better(possibly because it was lowered))

I LOVE MY CAR! It has all the power i need for a daily driver. It corners pretty well. And since i do not have ABS the brakes are as good as you can get without ABS! MANUAL!! RWD!!!

Weakness:

The gearbox sucks! It doesnt mix well with rain! The eletronic seat belts have to go. Stock audio sucks, i changed it big time for cheap email m for details. the shift knob is too heavy. and the spoiler is plactic!

I would recomned it to anyone who wants a cheap car that does what it needs to to that can beat any civic si and any day!! Hey i bought mine this year it has 33k miles, i am the luckest person in the wolrd!
