Strength:

Ability to handle corners. The power of a this little 2.0 litre and it's look all form a strong reason for owning this vehicle. This vehicle has lots of potential for modifications. Strong following of enthusiasts around North America allowing the owner to find good deals on parts.

Weakness:

The backseat is pointless although when the seats are folded down there is lots of space.

I found a sweet little gem with low kms and a body in immaculate condition. This is non-turbo at 135 hp but still kicks out some seriously suprising power. Great cornering and shifts very well.

Strength:

Easily upgradable. Sweet looking. Manual Turbo is very fast.

Weakness:

Back seat is very small. Low to the ground, and can feel every bump in the road.

I bought my 92 Laser with 75,000 miles on it. Still drives like new, even after a cross country trip. Had to do a few odds and ends to the car, but still runs well.

Speed, corners... great on corners, beats pretty much EVERY honda...

Weakness:

engine and transmissions... like someone else said on here... back seat. pointless to have it unless you have little kids sitting back there or midget friends.

I thought I had got such a sweet deal... $500 for a car that looks pretty sick. First of all... it was AUTO! Yea... scary word, A.U.T.O.M.A.T.I.C Well... I had it for a few months and the transmission went. No problem, I have connections with a local junk yard... I will get another a be back on the road with my baby... WRONG!!! No auto. transmission in the US... 1 in texas for 900$... but it was used and I didn't think it was a good deal. Moral of the story.... DO NOT BY AN AUTOMATIC Laser.

Weakness:

Slow, very slow Cheap interior burned plenty of oil only lasted 122,000 miles the backseat is a joke

My first car was a 1990 plymouth laser RS. The parents bought it for me for $2600, and i think they overpayed. It is a "cool" car for a teenager, but in reality its a big piece of crap. I had it for about 8 months, before the transmission basically died. It had a blown headgasket which threw blue smoke out the back end, and blown A/C. The transmission was barely shifting after 1st gear, so we sold it for $600 to a hillbilly. One plus was that the

Looks, speed, handling.

Weakness:

Transmission could be better, interior could be nicer.

Nice looks, good handling, good speed for a NT, will beat any 4 cylinder out there no joke, will keep up with the v6s and maybe even beat them, go for a Honda if you want reliability, go for a DSM (eclipse, laser, talon) if you want reliability, speed, and handling. Take care of your car, it will reward you.
