Strength:

Gas mileage, peppy, looks good, roomy, great get up and go, and did I say gas mileage?

Weakness:

Not quiet enough or else the brand of tires are loud, driver and passenger seats could be a little more comfortable.

A salesman offered me this car for $7500.00 out the door.I went home and did some checking up on this make and model of car.First I checked the Kelley Blue Book, the Nada, and edmunds.com.All of them said this car was worth over $10,000.I also checked the reviews and there were 3 out of 31 bad on edmunds.com.On this website all 3 were good.I did a carfax on this vehicle and it also came back with good results.I bought the car.I love it so far.It is very peppy.Great gas mileage.I only have a couple complaints. The tires are loud. I don't know if it's the type of tires (Firestone)or it's just that the car doesn't block outside noise that well.It can be annoying hearing the tires on the road, so I end up turning up the radio. My ION is very roomy, but I think Saturn could of made the driver and passenger seating more comfortable.I'm used to the bowl-shaped seats on my 1993 Pontiac Sunbird more or less "hugging my rear-end".The Ion's seats are very straight across and firm. They make you sit up tall.I'd like to feel a little more relaxed. Also the cover over the brake light on the rear window has come down. The Ford place where I got the car was supposed to fix it.At the time only have of it was hanging but now it has all fell off and I can't get it to go back up.Whatever black tar-like material they used for the one side appparently did not work.I'll be taking it back for them to fix.Besides these little complaints I really enjoy my car.I'm hoping it does well in the winter, after all I do live in Ohio.I would recommend this car to everyone. To the younger people, this car gets going, peppy, and even though its not a Mazda, I still think "zoom zoom".It also is sporty enough looking that it has style to your peers. To the parents with 3 or less children, this car is roomy enough that nobody feels squashed with enough leg and head room.It also has a very good size trunk and 60/40 seats. With me being a single mother of one child, I love that. When I need to put something bigger I just put my son in his car seat on the 40 side and can fold flat down the back seat on the 60 side.To the elderly, this car is great because of the gas mileage (actually that is great to us all right now with the rising gas prices), and if the reviews are correct its great in the snow.I am so glad that I got this car. So far so good in the little time that I've had it (less than a month).I will keep you posted in the future.

The exhaust system can give off an odor sometimes.

So far, this car has been a joy to own and drive. It has comfort, safety, and great performance. It's a great car to fit the whole family in for a drive.
