Strength:

* looks * price * dealership experience * reliability

Weakness:

The only weakness is the interior. The seats are beautiful, I just wish that Saturn would start putting more money in the interior. The fit and finish is good, but could be better.

I bought my black LS a couple of months ago. I love the new look, its kinda Passatish. The car looks more expensive than what it is. So far there have been no problems. The car idles quietly, and is pretty comfortable. The leather seats are a must in this car, i think that the cloth cheapens it. I looked at the new Altima, but the dash had so much hard plastic, and the car wasn't really that comfortable. I've owned other saturns, and know that there are "better" cars out there, but i just love the reliability, and the way they treat me at the dealership.

Never failed me GReat gas mileage decent pick up awesome car all around

Weakness:

doesnt have a lot of pick up and it gets more bogged down when there are more than 2 people in the car or the ac is on

I have had this car for about 2 years and it has been a blessing. The only things that I had to put money into were the tires, serpentine belt, and alternator. Given the milage on my car, 78,000, those were nothing more than preventative maintenance. I LOVE my Saturn!!! It is such a dependable car, the next car I am getting is going to be a Saturn. The car had about 30,000 miles on it when I bought and I drive it all of the time with no problems. The only thing is that it is not a sports car by any means, but that should be expected given what is under the hood.

New 2.2L Four Cyl feels like it has twice as much power as the 1.9L good gas milage Still has the plastic panels Price is right Lots of standard features

Weakness:

**FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...SATURN HAS TO STOP USING FIRESTONE TIRES!!** Noisy engine Could use a bit more knee room in the back seet

I just bought this car to replace my '99 Saturn sc2. First thing I noticed was the interior. Yes, it still looks kinda cheap but it's a 200% improvement over the earlier models. It's VERY roomy. My wife has the Olds Alero(that I wish I could burn in a quary somewhere)and the Saturn is much roomier than her car. The handling is great for a four door sedan. It has a very smooth ride. If your looking for a tight sport suspension, pass this car up. As for power, the new 2.2L four cyl is a great improvement over the old 1.9L. The engine is still a little noisy but not as bad as earlier models(guess thats why and 8 speaker stereo came standard.)Gas milage is fantastic and the comfort/convience features are just fine. So far, no problems at all. I would recomend this car for anyone who wants a four door family car with tons of standard features and a good price

where to begin after the first 3,000 miles had to have air conditioner replaced because it leaked water continuall inside the car Had to take to dealers several times before fixed. At 37.000 miles timing chain broke had to replace engine. At 45,000 miles the manual transmission begin to not work after several trips to dealer and having them call a local mechanic dishonest and 1200.00 dollars later returned car to dealer and still owed 4,000 on a vehicle that We no longer own Would never buy another Saturn or recommend to anyone. The company and the local dealer where not helpful at all so much for being a part of the Saturn family definatly a family I can do without!

Would never buy another Saturn vehicle!!

Strength:

The 4 cly. has good pep with the a/c off. Mileage is 32mpg highway, a/c off, @60mph. I've never polished the car and it still looks new. The car has never left me standed. If I had to do some shade tree mechanic work, the engine compartment has plenty of room. No expensive timing belt to replace (has a timing chain). Haven't had to replace any CV joints yet. I test drove the same year Camry, but it just seemed like another boring reliable car...it's design appeared to emulate a Honda Accord. Also, the Camry's performance wasn't much better than my 90 Camry, and the interior space was not as roomy. I wasn't eager to spend $24K on a boring vehicle. The audio quality is impressive for factory. Nice trunk space.

Weakness:

Noisy interior. Cloth seats are cheap looking. Driver and knee space foot space is very limiting. Not a comfortable car for anyone taller than 5ft 8in. or car full of five adult passengers. Wiper blades are noisy. The horn is not convenient to use...hard to find spots to press. The car doesn't look sporty with spoiler options. The brakes are fair...My old Camry could brake much better than this car. Saturn please re-engineer this. I don't particularly car for the power window controls next to the automatic shifter...awkward and prone to liquid spills from the cupholders next to them.

I bought this vehicle to replace my 90 Camry (196K Mi, no a/c [in Houston TX], electrical problems, leaking radiator...but, an excellent engine and transmission). That car became a money pit. The buying experience was more pleasant than the payments. Currently, I've driven aprox. 79K mi. Here are all the problems I've had: 1. Broken A/C gasket repaired under warranty. 2. Broken cruise control module repaired under warranty. 3. Replaced tires, disc brakes, and battery...normal maintenance (strongly recommend Goodyear Advantage tires). 4. All of my alloy rims are bent...thanks to Houston potholes. 5. The chicken grease, vomit, and Kool-Aid stains from my 3yr old have not damaged the seats or carpet from repeated cleaning. 6. I wish the car had folding mirrors after my wife scraped the passenger mirror on the garage framing. 7. The rubber door seal, mid-chassis is torn. I'm driving appox. 3000Mi./month and have had no major problems. My gas mileage is aprox. 24MPG freeway @70mph with the a/c on. Handles great at 100mph !!! I've really enjoyed this car; however, it and its other mid-size competitors are not spacious enough for a small family...I think a minivan will be my next purchase.

Overall, this is a good car for the price. I still enjoy the handling of the car (it is not a BMW, but...) It's been 2 years now, and I only had little problems like the door won't unlock when removing the key from ignition and i had a problem wih he shiftstick but that's all. Oh yeah, don't forget to get rid of the OE tires!!! the firestone affinity sucks. And I am very pleased with the plastic panels! god, it's a charme. I had somebody that slammed his door ao hard directly on mine at the parking lot...no scratch, no nothing!!! god I was happy.

Strength:

It gets good gas mileage--but then its more often on the back of a tow truck.

Weakness:

It won't start and it leaves me stranded everywhere I go waiting on a Saturn tow truck

My Saturn has been repaired repeatedly for the same problem--the ignition locks up and it will not start. Each time the vehicle must be towed and repaired under warranty. Each time it is repaired Saturn tells me they have figured out what the problem is and it won't happen again. But it continues to happen.

Strength:

Well...It''s fast. When it runs it kicks ass for a medium priced four door sedan. It also handles quite well and the interior isn''t bad either. Also the trunk is huge. If it wasn''t for the breakdown problems I would like the car a lot.

Weakness:

Besides the above, It''s noisy inside and if you have large feet or like to ware boots you are screwed because there isn''t enough space around the pedals.

This car sucks. I bought it new and I had it back at the dealer for engine problems three times before it reached 6000 miles. Twice I barely made it home with the car because it lost power on the freeway and would only creep along. Once it nearly killed me when the engine died at the wrong time in front of an oncoming truck. At one point when it was in for repairs they called me to pick it up and when I got there it barely ran. Another time I had to take a taxi home after dropping it off. I tried to get my money back but they weren''t real keen on that and gave me the hardball treatment. Their solution to fixing faults recoded in the computer is to reset the computer and tell me to call them if it happens again.

Strength:

Good looking car. It comes with alot of extras. After driving 120+ miles in a day I feel pretty good when I arrive home.

Weakness:

There is not alot of room to mount my work radio.

For most of my adult life my main transportation has been a pick-up truck. My truck died at 275,843 miles of faithful service. I purchased my Saturn L200 used with 25,000 miles on the odometer. So far I am very happy with the car. In my employment I average 120 miles a day. Since I spend so much time driving I am particular. The car is very comfortable and I love driving it. At first I was a little worried about the engine size. I am used to a good V-6 or V-8. At this point it has plenty of get up and go.
