Strength:

Good Package. Toyota Reliability. 2 Miles on delivery. TRD products installed by dealer will have remaining warrenty. too much to list.

Weakness:

Moon Roof recall. (Scare) Something is touching the ground during panic stop, donot know why. checked by dealer still dont know why. Suspension is too soft for the car. Dealer left huge gap for upgrade which cost more than after market.

Over all it is a very good car for its price. Everything I need is come with the car and small mod will be added in future. I have no problem with power tran. The 2006 stereo system is convenience.

Similar Products Used:

Mazda 3. Nice car but cost approximately $3K more. Matrix small engine and cost more. Celica, Small engine cost much more.

Strength:

plenty of low end torque, the look, outside-temp, tire pressure gauge, climate control is a surprise, sun-roof is nice. 17 inches alloy wheel!!

Weakness:

the audio cover sucks, i have to try more than five times to close it every time, and there is no trunk light? only 10% with curtain-side airbags? I have to wait for 7 weeks!! anyway, this is not the problem of the car.

For this price, I could not find a better choice. Although not as sharp as as my 1996 integra, but it is still among the best handling cars i ever driven. After getting the curtain side airbags, this car might be the saftest one among all sub-compact, (mazda 3 is nice, but safety rating is disappointing.)

Strength:

*nice* stereo, nice wheels/tires, See review summary above

Weakness:

B-Pillars create blindspots, especially passenger rear, but overall have been EXTREMELY impressed with the vehicle.

Needed a new car quick after my jeep finally died at 141,000 miles. Checked out Honda Civic, Ford Focus, VW Golf, Toyota Matrix, Mazda 3 and Scion tC. The tC was a late addition as I hadn't really heard too much about it. After driving them it really came down to the Mazda 3 and the tC. The 3 handled better, but the tC had better driving characteristics as it had quite a bit more low-end torque. The tC also came loaded with options like cruise, 17" wheels, sunroof, CD/MP3 player, side mirror turn-signals, power windows (1-up, 1-down for driver & passenger), power locks, engine immobolizer, etc. Price paid includes title/taxes/fees

Strength:

-Toyota build quality -Great power out of a 4 banger -Great gas milage -Very nice exterior style -Great interior style -Humongous legroom for front AND rear seats -Reclining rear seats -Handles corners pretty well -Excellent standard features (Dual moon roofs, 160watt Pioneer CD Player that plays MP3, power everything, shifter is pretty close, close gear ratio to help acceleration, and a wide array of factory backed accessories that don't void your warranty!)

Weakness:

-The horn beeps once in a while when the steering wheel spins... the whole "button" goes to far! -Trunk space is sacrificed for more rear seating room, so not really a plus or minus!

Driving this car is so much fun... and customizing this car to my personality is just as much fun! The tC has just enough power for my needs, as well as great gas milage compared to my 1995 3.4 v6 Firebird!!! I'm shocked that this car feels stronger than my last car! It handles well, accelerates quickly for a 4 banger, and it's rare enough to turn heads all over the roads and parking lots. The starting price tag is irresistable! I added: factory ground effects, lip spoiler, fog lights, strut brace, TRD exhaust, blue neon floor and cup illumination, OBX shift knob and pedals, rust proofing, and a 7yr/100k mile warranty. I plan to add: Intake, and maybe a supercharger.
