Adjustable seats are PLUSH, It handles great, gas mileage is quite good. Side impact airbags just feel safer! Stereo system is great for stock, and it is suprisingly quick for a 4 cyl. Plus my huband says its a chick magnet! I think guys dig it too.
Weakness:
It is a little jumpy in first gear, especially in traffic. The dash cup holder is in a stupid place, the area of back seat that folds down needs to be BIGGER! Love this car! It is COMFORTABLE, Easy to drive, lots of leg/head room, and Looks GOOD! People often tell me it looks like a BMW or Infinity. I love having AWD and never want to live without it! The tilt stearing wheel is a plus since my husband and I cant agree on where it should be. I recommend it to everyone! BUT DO NOT BUY FROM Melody's in Kirkland. They didnt wash the car before we took it home, the finance dept was LAME, and they offer a free tank of gas if you give them the Subaru questioner! This way they can fill it out however they want! Oh, and they have pretty high prices compared to the competition! Similar Products Used: Subaru forester doesnt compare as far as leg room goes. also interior of forester seems "Cheap" and basic. |

Strength:
good sounds, handles amazing , quiet on highway driving , pretyy good milege on highways and around citys can get up and boogie when needed, lots of safty features.
Weakness:
cant put 3 inch exaust on it ( if u can help email me haydenrat@hotmail.com) as aparentley this drastically shortens life of primery turbo. this is the first subaru i have owned and are highly impressed with it as long as u keep the regular servicing up they seem to be a very reliable car, with nice new rims is a real head turner , bit slow of the mark from stand still but fast accelaeration when moving, great car for overtaking. Legacy L Sedan, 4WD
Strength:
-The 4WD (in '93 it wasn't computer controlled, like AWD).
Weakness:
-Not enough power! The only car I can beat in a race is a Honda Accord (non V6 models). This is my first car, and I won't ever buy a car without AWD (except maybe a Porshe 911 GT2). We get quite a bit of snow here in Montana, and it's great not really having to worry about getting stuck on your way to the store. I only wish that I had the Turbo version, and I can't afford a WRX (yet). Similar Products Used: None, as I mentioned, it's my first car. Beats my mom's minivan, though. |

Strength:
Looks and the standard option package.
Weakness:
Weak engine, & low trunk height. Good value for what you're getting. Good looks, gas mileage, AWD & solid feel. This car is my daily driver and I always feel safe and comfortable in it. I wish Subaru would've put the six cylinder in the 2001 models. I'd like to say I don't like the low trunk height. It's deep enough but it's hard to put a standard cooler in there. Strength:
Price, standard equipment, engine is solid
Weakness:
None to think of. Great vehicle. Runs great and the engine is solid. Engine has no leaks (just the usual seepage) and still starts like it's new. Did have an issue with the engine light coming on when it was cold, however since using the Premium gasoline it has gone off and hasn't returned. It handles well for the size car. Will handle better with aftermarket wheels (next big purchase for this car). No real problems since buying in April of 1993 with 5 miles on the odometer. The only major problems to date, and after 130,000 miles, are the front half shafts. The CV joints on the front half shafts have both gone out within a year of each other. If yours does, don't use Subaru parts. I did and the replacement went out a year later. Went to an aftermarket dealer and they replaced them for under $200 (each) installed. These come with a lifetime warranty as well. Very satisfied with this vehicle and very confident it will last another 100,000 miles, easy. Similar Products Used: Honda Accord, Nissan Stanza. |
