Nightmare engine bay access for many tasks - make friends with a good mechanic!

Great car. My experience says don`t be too quick to tune an auto- I`ve destroyed 2 auto boxs and now have a manual fitted. The list of bits can get pretty extensive High flow induction filter, Sebring exhaust, gutted cats, adjustable race computer and adjustable wastegates, all polyurethane bushes, 17" TSW alloys, Samco hoses, strut brace etc. Most crucially we have gone up big time on the front brakes 335mm Brembo`s with huge 4 pot Brembo alloy race calipers- no good tuning if you can`t stop the damm thing!. Its basically a good handler (partly thanks to the HICAS) with good mechanical grip. At the moment I have the standard and rather minimalist aeropack (boot lid spoiler and front splitter)Not a full on sports vehicle, but an excellent Grand Tourer in the classic Aston Martin type style, albiet in a very Japanese way. Tends to move cars out of the way when you come up on them fast- must be that mean looking bonnet!

This is the best sports car I have ever owned. Better handling, more power, more solid than any of the great cars of my past. I've also had some American boats, 2 New Yorkers, a Buick, a big Chevy; all non-descript. The z is a car, no, an experiance. And they only made 3500 conv.

Man o man, do I love this car. I have owned a 91 MR2 Turbo, 94 Miata, and a 93 Supra. The Z is by far the best car I have ever owned. It handles like the Miata, Its fast as the Mr2, and it looks better than the Supra. What more can you ask for. I am going to put a stock turbo front and rear spoiler on the car. I think with the body kit the car looks ugly. This car still looks ahead of its time, for being 11 year old car.

O hello Its me Moe again!! i forgot to mention that i just put an in dash dvd player in my car and its great. I also put 2 12" subs with the aluminum dash kit. Those are so far my modifications. dont forget to read my other rating to on my 300zx.

Man u cant ask for better. I just got my licence at the age of 17 and this car is wonderful. Its black with black leather interior. i bought it with 54000 miles on it with not a scratch on it. I wanna do some modufications ob it however i dont think i will be putting a body kit on it. I am thinkin of gettin 18" rims however. I love this car!!!!!

I love my 300zx. I had to sell my 2001 mustang GT Roush stage 2 because of buying a house. I needed something cheaper but i couldnt put myself in a family car so i got the z. I have put $15,000 into the car from engine mods to a full body kit! I was surprised on how fast this car goes with just a few engine mods. (Even stock) I had the pleasure to race a similar roush like the one i had and needless to say i was adjusting my rear view mirror to see where he was! I now got a 2002 bmw 325i, but my heart is still with my z! I baby the 300 and barly drive it. But when its nice out and i want to showoff i break it out of the garage and let the 450+HP beast break loose! I will never sell this car!!

Stillen exhaust sounds awesome, classic design that will always look great, best seats (comfortable)I have ever experienced. Every high school kid will stare!

It takes HUGE will power to drive under 90 - The car pulls like crazy at ALL speeds (from experience, 145 mph is smooth as silk with LOTS more to go)Rear and side vision is limited with the spoiler, but who cares, everyone will be in the rear view mirror anyway.

I found an absolutely flawless twin turbo (black w leather interior)with only 16k miles. It is the finest (fun) car I have ever owned - 300hp stock is a blast - however, after a trip to Ultimate Z in Chicago, I've added full stainless exhaust from the turbos back, aluminum flywheel, JWT clutch and pressure plate,underdrive pulley, short shifter, new ECU, HKS hardpipes and JWT intake. $5000. well spent - the car is stunningly, frighteningly 450hp plus fast!

300hp + 5spd + you = more fun than you can imagime. You might not be able to beat a stock Corvette, but they won't be pleased when they see you right behind them. The Z is unshakeable baby.

I bought mine with 169,000 miles on it. I blew the turbos out of carelessness. The car is strong as nails but you have to respect the age. If my hose had not come off, and I had not continued to drive it while extremely hot, the car would be running fine right now.

I have owned quite a few sports cars and this is by far my favorite. Looks great, handles great, and in stock form pulls like a freight train. A must have for any driving enthusiast.

for a 17 year old car, this little beast sure can leave smoking rubber. the 3.0 litre turbo V6 sure does the job of providing power. the only problem i've had with this car was the valve train needed adjustment about a month after i bought it, due to lack of clean oil while driving 300km highway trip. and there is a potential problem with one of the turbo vaccum hoses, but that is probably due to my very FREQUENT quick take offs. i love the way the turbo just SLAMS in at 3000rpm. you can REALLY feel the pull when that little turbo charger kicks in. the car handles like a dream. it rides smooth, and flies around corners with little or no squeeking. i had a camaro Z28 a few months ago, and this little nissan has about the same power/weight ratio as the Z28. that the 350 small block V8 that everyone knows and loves. and this 3.0 V6 keeps up with it just fine.
