Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Sports

DESCRIPTION

The 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS - available as a coupe and cabriolet - dishes out 23 more horsepower than the 911 Carrera S for an expressive 408 hp @ 7800 rpm. For the coupe, 0 - 60 performance snaps you into your seat in 4.4 seconds (cabriolet, 4.6 seconds) with a top track speed of 190 mph.

Maximum torque of 310 lb-ft is available 200 rpm earlier when compared to the Carrera S model. Standard equipment is a 6-speed manual transmission with the 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox available as an option.

Acceleration from zero to 60 mph is 4.0 seconds for the GTS Coupe with PDK and Sport Chrono Package Plus. EPA fuel economy estimates the Carrera GTS will get 19 mpg city / 27 mpg highway.

Visual cues that identify the GTS are wider Carrera 4 body panels of the AWD model, a wider rear track, and wider rear wheels. Easy to spot are the 19-inch center-mount RS Spyder wheels, painted black, with high-gloss rim flanges and 305/30-19 super sticky tires. The GTS also has the SportDesign front apron with the black spoiler edge, special sideskirts, and the Carrera GTS logo on the doors and rear decklid.

Inside, the new Carrera GTS uses black Clcantara in combination with the standard interior color and the new three-spoke SportDesign steering wheel. The special feel of Alcantara is evident on the contact surfaces such as the seats, steering wheel, gear and handbrake levers.

In the U.S., MSRP of the 911 Carrera GTS Coupe and Cabriolet is $103,100 and $112,900 respectively.
