Power, secure handling, safety features.

Only having had this for a few weeks, it's hard to be too optimistic, but so far, it's been a very good experience. It's very comfortable and handled extremely capably through snowy neighborhood and rural roads during snowfalls of up to two to three inches so far. We're expecting more snow this weekend, so we'll see how it handles deeper snow as well. Did not detect spinning up hills and braking was well controlled. One of the primary reasons for my purchase of this vehicle was for the safety features - ABS, ESP, Curtain airbags, AWD, backup alarm, etc. Gas mileage does not appear to be quite as good as I would have hoped for, but mixed driving is producing about 16 or so mpg, which is within the EPA rated range of 15 city, 22 highway. The V6 has plenty of pickup. A bit confusing are some of the electronic displays. One significant plus in my mind vs. the MDX is the ability to buy without a sunroof. With the sunroof, the headroom in the MDX causes me serious claustrophobia. If the Pilot were available with side curtain airbags, I would have likely purchased that at quite a few less $$. However, so far, this vehicle is performing great and the price combined with 0% financing resulted in an excellent value.

Stalled repeatedly. Purchased last February. Cadillac issued bulletin on September re. "Crank, no start when cold due to compression loss" needs Top Tier Detergent Gasoline, they recommend Shell V-Power, not easily available in this area. Nothing in the car manual about this problem. Hatch had to be repaired.
