Strength:

Looks great inside and out also rides nice for a jeep product.

Weakness:

Very poor fuel economy in the 4.7 and may be under powered or simply too heavy.

Having had several jeeps, the commander is VERY sluggish and burns fuel as if it were free. Very surprised that any 8 cyl. engine could be sooo weak. Living in the NorthEast, hills are every where and the automatic transmission shifting is not efficient. Power and fuel is the neg. everythig else is good.

Strength:

practically everything

Weakness:

The interior can be tricky to clean

I absolutly love my commander! I think that it is so classy looking on the outside and on the inside. The back seats are even comfortable, great to take on family trips. The speakers are unbelievably awesome. The navigation system is reliable. I also love how the windshield sits because it really gies the allusion of having a tone of roomy space.

Strength:

almost nothing other than it looks good from the outside and somewhat on the inside. has nice moon/sun roofs and nice stereo.

Weakness:

useless. Falling apart already. A/C is ussually luke warm air unless ALL they way on full blast; this is after ive had it repaired twice for not working at all. and yes i do have the snowflake button on!!! This vehicle was way to expensive for so many problems... there are many better products to spend your money on.

Horrible! In the first week I bought this car the A/C went out; and this is Texas! After taking it to the dealership to fix it, another week later it went out again! There are numerous design flaws from headlights that wont go off in a timely manner, to a cup holder that wont fit any cup without causing spills or breaking of a cup to a warning for low tire pressure that wont go off ever if the pressure is a bit off... and trust me Ive tried to correct this by adding air. the only thing that seems to make a difference is the outside temp. The stadium seating makes it impossible to see out the back especially if the 3rd row is up, then there is no vision at all. There are also many large blind spots. I also have to mention that this car has become a target for hit and runs and break ins since I bought it 8 months ago. And it has nothing to do with the area Ive lived in because it has occured in three seperate towns and parts of towns. In the 8 months Ive had it there has been one hit and run in dallas, college station and two in austin. one break in in austin and one in dallas. Do not buy this car no matter how hard they try to sell it to you. Chrysler and Jeep are no longer worthy companies and are going down hill. Also they refused to give me an extra key when I bought the car, after i asked three times. Eventually I did lose my key and believe me it was a hassle to get a replacement which I should of had to begin with. They even accused me of stealing the car. And, after 8 months my breaks are already sqeeky.

Strength:

5.7 Hemi is a powerful engine that will out run or compete with any other SUV in this class. The braking system is excellent and precise during quick stops.

Weakness:

fuel economy get ready to spend alot of gas on this vehicle. The audio system is not quite the state of the art system and could be improved to include navigation system that will accomodate IPOD technology. High end Headlamps such as HID would make this vehicle even more appealing.

I love my jeep commander Limited its very uptown and yet rugged enough to handle off road as well. The sytling is very innovative in that it brings back an nostalgia of the pass Jeeps. The rear styling of the Jeep Commander gives it a little flare of Hummer / Range Rover which makes it more uptown scale. The 5.7 Hemi is more power to keep up with high end vehicles on the road. Heated leather seats come in handy for this cold desert climate. Skylight and moonroof adds a airy atmosphere to the vehicle to make it feel very open. Smart Headlamps are very nice and convenient to the driver. Although this vehicle is in the Mid Class of SUV's I don't think that there is any other SUV with such elagance. The Jeep Commander Limited Black exterior and Graystone interior makes it very high class in style. With tinted windows and set of 22 " Chrome wheels you will have a vehicle so much different from all other SUV's. Today you see so many GM and Ford SUV's which look the same but not that many Jeep Commander limited. If you looking for more economy go with the 4.7 do not drive the 5.7 Hemi because you will fall in love with all that power and there is a huge diffence between the two engines. The chrome on the jeep commander limited stands out quite a bit. Alot of my friends think that spent alot more money on it than I would have with a GM or Ford when in fact I have spent alot less than two with alot more options than I would have gotten with the buying a GM or a Ford. My fiancee didn't like it a first but after looking at it and riding in it she loves it alot. I didn't get the bluetooth technology but I would recommend it very much so along with the Navigation system which brings me to the next point in that Naviagation system on the Jeep Commander takes some time getting use too but helps out tremendously in getting to places unfamiliar. I love the Sirrus Satellite Radio because I have one in my other vehicle which is a Nissan 2203 Altima. I didn't get the rear entertainment system but if your going to get a limited go all the way with the options it comes in handy. Performance the brakes are superb in that it works the way a braking system should work. The Suspension is more truck like but thats to be expected because it is a truck however you still get a smooth ride on the freeway. This vehicle with grow in popularity over time with some minor improvements by Chrysler Jeep.

I was unimpressed with GM and Ford because of the pricing and know that supply in demand dictates the pricing of SUV but give me a break some time and give a great deal. Besides GM and Ford product to me seem to be all the same and don't have quite the upscale town look that I was looking for at the time.
