Strength:

Very stylish, good pick up, roomy

Weakness:

Poor radio sound quality, bluetooth does not work at times, frustrating process to get warrenty work done.

Am starting to have buyers remorse. Have had sound problems with radio since day one and am being told it's my imagination. Between dealership and Kia motors it's still not being fixed. Would caution you before buying.

Strength:

Good ride, quite, tows good

Weakness:

brakes underdesigned, brakes wear prematurely, requires brake job every 10,000 or less, bad brakes, brakes, brakes, brakes .......

The car is good but will NEVER buy another Kia due to second vehicle (first was a 2004 Sedona Van) with continued brake problems. Company is aware of problem but apparently loves the money they are making on brake jobs!

Strength:

Looks, features, Navigation is awesome. 3 rows of sets. Great for small people.

Weakness:

Blue tooth does not match up with many cell phones and you may find your phone working on one call and not working on the next. The screen shows signal and bluetooth as working, but you loose the speakers. KIA has a list of phone models that are supposed to work, but the list is 6 months old and most phones are now NLA. The dealerships were not provided this list, I got it emailed to me from a Kia Consumer Rep and I took it to my Kia dealer.
The vehicle needs better sound dampening. I drove a Buick LeSabre for 5 years and the Sorento is not anything as I had in the Buick for quietness.
My turn signal lever does not disengage after a turn is completed(started that yesterday), Fuel mileage is no where close to what the stickers show.I went to Oklahoma and drove 900 plus miles round trip. I averaged 23.3 mpg when the sticker shows 27-34 mpg highway driving. I was told it would need a 3000 mile breakin to start seeing the mileage i need. That less than 200 to go.

I wish I had chosen the 6 cylinder and it's 100 more horsepower, but I've re4ad that Kia has been not completely honest on their horsepower. Not really honest on mileage estimates either.
The vehicle is attractive, but I now wonder how long it will take to begin having other issues. 100,000 drive train warranty and 5/50,000 helps.

I got the navagation system and back up camera. However, my stock sheet from the window shows I have a Auto Dimming Mirrow with back up screen. Since the backup camera is on the nav unit, I just got the standard, non auto dimming mirror, but the sticker shows I have the auto dimmer.
Read everyrthing carefully. The locking lugs for the wheels were $88 on my vehicle, on the Borrego they are $39. I asked about that and was told it was a type o. You can buy the locking lugs from Kia online for $35.

Strength:

This vehicle replaced 2007 Toy 4Runner. Love the styling, very impressed with the fit and fininsh, tight handling, excellent value, and BUILT IN USA did make a difference in choosing this vehicle. Went with the 4cyl engine, and getting exactly what I expected. Adequate power, good mileage.

Weakness:

Mileage under the EPA rating prevented a 10 rating on the performance scale.

Went with the lower end model to minimize the depreciation hit as this is my first Kia. I'm very impressed with the overall product. Would go with EX V6 if I had to do it all over again. Best American built vehicle I've driven, and owned. Best vehicle I've driven EVER in this price range regardless of place of origin.

Styling, comfort, versatility.

Weakness:

Cheap standard tires. Distorted sound from radio. Very rough riding.

Probably worth the money. Ours is a new 2011 model. Will know more after we replace the standard tires that are nearly junk. Will keep working on the sound system which is awful.

Strength:

seemed like a good vehicle - looked good

Weakness:

after 310 miles, 4 warped rotors, bent driveshaft - none of which was my doing.

now i know why kia gave a $5k credit on this car. my first clue should have been that they completely re-designed this car for 2010. unfortunately, i bought a 2009. i picked it up with 139 miles on it. drove it 170 miles, couldn't go over 55 miles without a horrible metallic clanging coming from the front end. serious pulsating from the brake pedal. took it to the dealership in less than 48 hours after purchase. they replaced all 4 rotors; still had a metallic clanging. now i'm told that the right side driveshaft is bent - this car has 300 miles on it!! WTF is going on??? i wrote a check for twenty one thousand dollars! stay away from kia!!!!!!!!

Strength:

Great looking interior, speedy pickup, drives like a luxury car.

Weakness:

None

My Sorrento has about 68000 miles on it and I absolutely still love it. The only issue I have had is with a diode and when it blows the interior dome light will not come on when the door opens. Other than that I have just had routine maintenance. I love my Kia and will probably buy another Sorrento when this one gets too old, but I don't think that will happen for another few years. Love this car!
