Looks, nothing other than that. I feel I paid a lot of money for a lemon. I could have bought a saturn, ford or even neon for much less and would have been equally happy or even happier. Bad investment, bad choice, waste of money.
Weakness:
suspension which started making noise after the first service. Noises and rattles are all over the car, windshiled, under the dashboard, springs in seats seem to recoil when you turn sharply, creaking noises from driver's door, and screaching noises from windows when wet. Mechanics seem ok so far. Dealer is most arrogant after the purchase, service people are totally disorganized and there is absolutely no communication between them. One person says one thing and the other says something else and they don't keep good records. Total chaos. Stay away from Regency. Similar Products Used: CRV, Escape, Xterra (Fantastic car), |

Styling, handling, visibility, exterior and interior design and overall performance combined with interior space available.
Weakness:
Only one issue thus far: The vehicle has a few rattles - especially in the dashboard area. I suspected the RAV4 would not be as quiet as a Camry and, therefore, I am not really displeased. I previously owned a 1992 and 1997 Camry and was aware the ride in a small SUV would not compare to that of a family sedan with regard to quietness and acceleration, etc. However, I am greatly pleased with the performance of the RAV4 thus far. Handling is great, visibility is good and overall performance is more than acceptable for a vehicle in this price range. Similar Products Used: 1992 and 1997 Camry. 1996 Nissan Altima. |

The price you pay for a Civic. You can get a SUV like that. Amazing!!! Remember Toyota quality is the BEST in the world. Not even a Honda can compare. I had a Honda so I know that.
Weakness:
Havn't found one Excellent compact SUV in the world. I like it very much. Inexpensive, excellent handling, and large room make you happy all the way. Hey!! This is a compact SUV, and it costs under 20K. Don't expect 200hp. Don't expect 0-60 mile in 6 sec. BE FAIR!!! You get what you pay and don't complain it is underpower. 150hp is fair for this SUV. The car handles great, and offers the driver a great driving position. I find it very comfortable and the cockpit feels like a car not some truck. Despite its upright stance and bubbly shape I am pleasantly surprised with how it handles strong cross winds on the highway. The 5 speed manual I have has enough power for day to day driving without sucking the gas pumps dry every time I fill up. To those who want more power I would ask why you bothered buying it in the first place. It is supposed to be a fuel efficient small SUV not a race car. Yes more power is always nice but it comes at a cost to both the pocketbook and the environment. I've only put about 2000 km on the clock but so far the much hyped Toyota finish and quality are holding true.
Weakness:
Not really found any so far, although the view out to the sides when entering a T junction seems a little restricted. Not exactly cheap if you want to get anything but the basics. My new Rav is everything I expected. It is a comfortable efficient SUV that has lots of space, doesn't drain my bank account every time I fill up, and looks great. Similar Products Used: Honda CRV: The old model I liked and might have purchased before the redesign, but the new one looks terrible on the inside. Felt like a bast*rd child of a ford truck and a mini-van. Handa Civic: Gr |

a little slow in the 70-90 MPH range. This is a great little SUV. It handles extremely well, and it is really efficent. The 4 wheel drive system is exclelltnt in snow and for pretty heavy off roading (hey they say it goes almost anywhere in reviews they said it went everyehere a land rover, and a jeep went). It looks really nice inside out. we have silver w/grey..it looks great..the power is very decent..it only has 150 HP, but it has VVT-I (variable valve timing with intelligence) basically that makes every bit of horsepower very useful) great vehcile Similar Products Used: '98 nissan sentra GLE, 95 mercury cougar XR7, 90 nissan maxima SE,98 ford exedition edie bauer, ford explorer LTD., toyota highlander limited, chevy venture LS (those are cars me and family have had t |

Styling, handling, looks, quality. Love the fact that I'm higher than most vehicles and get a better view of the road. The reviews were right when they said that this is a fun vehicle to drive!
Weakness:
Pricing. Any time a vehicle's base price rises by close to $10K from the base model to the top of the line, you have a problem. I cannot imagine that the few additional features really cost Toyota that much to add on. Plus, ABS should be standard on all models. First off, I read countless reviews before purchasing this product and all of them stated the same thing...a great handling vehicle with moderate off-road capabilities and good winter driving characteristics. They also ALL mentioned the fact that the 2.0 engine was underpowered for this vehicle. I guess I was prepared for the worst because I actually find the engine quite peppy in the city. No problem keeping up with traffic and the engine has enough pep to get you off the line and on your way faster than almost all other 'cute-utes' that I tested. Highway driving is not as nice but I've adjusted quickly and can 'tap' some power to pass. Similar Products Used: Honda CR-V -- good vehicle but boring interior. |

Weakness:
Dealer service - I hate them, and would not buy Toyota as a result Front rotors replaced at only 70,000 kms, despite both drivers being easy on the brakes. Cruise control only works when it wants to, always been weak. Nice to drive, but underpowered. Good seating position for any driver. Good in snow. Lack of space in the back.
