Volvo XC60 (2010 and older) SUV | Crossover

DESCRIPTION

Volvo boldly enters the "small premium utility" market with the all-new XC60. Revolutionary styling, world-class safety features, dynamic performance, and outstanding comfort combine to make the XC60 an excellent addition to Volvo's XC family.

The XC60 is offered in a single well equipped T6 AWD model. The XC60 powerplant is a 3.0 liter turbocharged 6-cylinder engine that produces 281 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed "Geartronic" transmission and AWD with "Instant Traction" is standard.

Strength:

Safety systems - cool styling for a "station wagon"

Weakness:

All of these awesome features and no heated seats!

Excellent vehicle with incredible safety systems. None of the other reviews I have read discuss the highway anti-collision system or the adaptive cruise control. The cruise system automatically adjusts the cars speed so that the vehicle stays a minimum (and adjustable) distance from car ahead of you on the freeway. Even more impressive is the anti-collision system - if you are driving at highway speed and a car brakes in front of you the Volvo will automatically brake to minimize the chance of collision. My version also has alarms if you drift out of your lane and blind spot monitors. I can't see how any car can be any safer!
