Model Reviewed: sea-8081

Strength:

The Sea-8081 is what the real name of this product is. It is by far the most advanced alarm system that you can and could buy on the market today. It was last years model but there is no other alarm that will compare. The remote range is not the best, but that is because its not made to be disarmed from 500+ feet away. It is a two-way communication system. When you press the Tx button to arm it, the remote will beep once, and then twice to confirm that the alarm is set. It is the same way with the external outputs. Beep once when pushed and twice to confirm. Many people under rate the remote because of the little range that it has but they should have known that and researched that before buying such an advanced alarm system. This alarm is not just made to show the remote off. The remote was made that way for the individual that wanted a serious interface with his alarm. This is not for just the average joe. Also tell me how many other alarm systems will tell you to check your doors, check your impact sensor, check your hood or trunk, or check your radar sensor without blowing the horn or siren and creating a big scene. The remote will do all that and more with just a little beep and then a readout on the screen. Thus taking the guess work out of your alarm. Also the remote has onscreen programing for the radar and impact sensor, which makes programing easier. The radar is by far one of the best out on the market today. It will very rarely if ever false alarm. I had the chance to get the 8063 but i wanted the 8081 just because its by far the better of the two. And I thought the display for the 8063 looks stupid.

Weakness:

The range of the remote, but in giving the range up on the remote gives you the more advanced alarm. i.e. two way communication between the system and the remote.

I paid 799.00 installed for it and it is by far worth its weight in gold. This alarm is and was not for everyone. Its for someone who is going to be very involved with their alarm. I would recommend it to almost anyone. If you dont care what happens to your car and which triggers and what time the alarm was tripped, then i would not recommend it to you.
