Model Reviewed: Elite 130

Strength:

With range extending antenna good remote range, although you must be careful not inadvertently hit disarm button in the store, restaurant etc. because you'll never know.

Weakness:

Quality, Support

This is the forth warranty exchange I've had
from Code Alarm. Each one has failed in one way or another within three years and although they claim a 'Lifetime' warranty, it has been a major battle each time to have them honor it.The Elite 300 model is the latest model received and worked fine for approx. a year, when the Starter Disable feature failed and had to be bypassed to start vehicle. Recently other functions have started failing;a zone sensor, the trunk release feature and the siren(I switched it over to horn sounding option). Also there was no customer support at all until AudioVox bought it a couple years back, They've been somewhat better to deal with.
BOTTOM LINE... All warranties are virtually worthless now days, like rebates, they're offered knowing few people will pursue them, so they can just keep producing the same same crap.
