At $300, this is a very nice amp. As with most Apline amps, the sound is very clean. Rated at 4 x 55WRMS, i am running a set of Focal 165V2 splits off two channels, and briging the other two channels to run a Eclipse Aluminium SW7124DVC-T2 subwoofer. | Tree Services Fountain Valley

Strength:

Alpine quality: While they tend to charge a bit more because of their brand name, Alpine products (especially their amps) are still quality products which will please most consumers.

Weakness:

Retail Price: At $699AUS, This product tends to sell itself a bit on the Alpine brand name rather than providing a great value for money amplifier. Will still provide a great sound, but given other brand amps with the same specifications can be $200 or more cheaper, you pay for the brand a bit.

I bought this amp second hand for $300AUS (It retails for $699 here), however it was spotless, still in plastic wrapping, with all the accessories included. While the sub can be pushed a lot more with a more powerful amp, the Alpine does a respectable job while also powering the Focals nicely.

Similar Products Used:

Eclipse EA3422: A $550 amplifier that I was considering before I bought the Alpine. Quality which probably exceeds the Alpine, but at a cheaper retail price.
