Model Reviewed: A2X600HQ

Strength:

You can make a custom install with this amp and make look good. If you are not in to all that you can easily put the amp under the seats and still looks good. My friends love it. At night it lights up the car. Even my girlfriend who does not like car stereo liked it. You get a lot of power and is not one of those super long amps you have to wander where you going to place the it.

Weakness:

If you do not have a good alternator then get one or a second battery; or a third option a cap 5 or 10 farad. I am running this amp at four ohms and still makes my lights dim. When this amp hits low notes I saw the volt meter go as low as 12.5 thats with the engine on!

First of lets start with the specs(RMS): mono 600watts x1 at 4ohms 1200watts x1 @ 2ohms and 2400watts x1 at 1ohm. Stereo 300 x2 @ 4ohms 600 x2 at 2ohms and 1200 x2 at 1ohm. This ratings are at 12.5 volts! I am running my system at about 13.8 volts so is pushing even more that the numbers stated above (I estimate about 100-125 watts more). I am currently running the system at 4ohms mono since i am looking for a second sub woofer. the gain is turn up at about 1/3 since i have a input signal of 2 volts from the head unit. The amp runs great you can fill it when you hit the low notes, i see the rear view mirrors shaking like crazy with this amp. The amp is running a HCCA 12" Orion like is nothing. I doesn't even get hot at all I drive for about 30 min in the summer with sing of heat. I would love to run this amp at full power some time.
