I had this amp rigged with two optima yellow tops one under hood and one in truck with 1 farad cap. Bridged running 3 original ALPINE TYPE R single voice coil 4 ohm subs in a perfect 1 cuft per woofer. Factory alt.
All crammed into a 1996 merc grandmaquis. I sat in 8 hrs of traffic at hampton beach nh with it at full volume. By the time i got to the end of the beach both of my side mirrors were hangin by wires brakelines to rear wheels let go rear view mirrow fell off and broke all spot welds in trunk lid and both rear quarter panels. And still drove to tweeter to meet a buddy for a bass off and shattered all glass windows in the tweeter garage. Other words if you find this amp get and never let it go true olskool Power!!! Currently putting in my expedition with 6 kenwood svc 4ohm 12s .

The amount of power this amp puts out is absolutely ridiculous. Please note: When you push the button for 'BASS EQ' to the right (ON), be ready... If your subs aren't rated at around 1000 (and that's if you're using 2), then you're going to be buying new subs within a week. And, even then, you might want to consider using more than 2 and running them in series (2 pairs). The sound is clean, and I swear the cut-off is higher than 18db.

And, by the way, that's another thing...

You can turn the gain all the way up on this baby, and there's no noticable distortion.

So...if you're considering this amp, and you can actually find one...then grab it while you can. I've had mine since 1999, and it's still running strong...wtf, right???

Does not ask for much power and shoves out shed loads.

It's a Sub 'Terminater', check your sub's RMS rating before you start twiddling the volume.

If you have read any of my subwoofer reviews you would have noticed how many subs I have had.... now you know why. This is a great power house and as it's a class D amp it is not power hungry either (extra battery not necessarily needed). My amp has totally merked over 20 subs honest.

WOW! This could possibly be the best amp i have ever owned. It pounded the crap out of my 12" Type R 2ohm and 4Ohm. I have recently updated to an Eclipse Titanium, no one wants to get within 15 ft of my explorer. I have had plenty of amps, rockford (bd1000), sonys 1000 (pos), pyramid 1000 (dont know what i was thinking), Directed 250d (AWESOME amp), plus about 7 or 8 more. Anyway, im planning on buying the 2400 here sometime soon :)

let me tell you i have this amp hooked up to two kicker cvrs nobody wants to get in my car.

Clean sound, powerful, simple, cheaper than some amps, but all around a champ amp!

This amp is ridiculously worth the price. I was lucky to find the amp for 350 but its rare to find for less than 400. My amp is powering 5 JL Audio 12W0's and i just got the Directed 250d for the highs or for another sub i am not sure.

Excellent price, good performance, 1ohm stable, true 1000watt plus amp

Steep price in the UK, but performance wise, nothing.

Still running in my Solobaric 15 L7 with this year 2002 Directed 1100d amp (with output increased to a potential 1500watts RMS) , but even with the gain way down and limiting the volume to 50 percent, this amp/sub combo kills my previous JBL power 12inch I had before. Rattles windows from 30 feet away and makes people double-take all over the place. And it's still running in!

This is one the best mono bass amps for the money. It is a true 1,000+ watt amp.Has a built in subsonic filter and crossover that gets the job done very efficiently. If you have some subs that require alot of power to get them moving give this amp a try b/c it serves it purpose which is to put out great bass. There are probably better amps out there but i guarantee you that they are not in the same price. This amp can be found easily for abut $500 dollars or a little less. I dont think there is a better 1,000+watt amp out there for less than this. I have been around car audio for about 7 years now and I am very experienced with amps and this is one of the bass. this amp also includes a bass knob for those momemts when you want to intensify the bass. if you are looking for a excellent amp and dont have the $800 or more to spend this is the one for you.
