Strength:

nvr gets hot if you have good ground... good bump

Weakness:

i have no issues with it

i have had really good lucky with this amp although i shoulda had a bigger sub for it... to much wattage for it... was a pioneer with a 450 max... but the amp has been used with much bigger 600watt subs and performed like a demon... very nice sounds to me like the people that had bad experiences had no idea what they were doing and expect competition performance for this amp which is not it... but works very well with a single 2 ohm 600-700 watt sub... i dont have any heat issues... to many people put amps in bad places then wonder y they have heat issues like under seats... and the ground cable should always be bigger then the power cable... this should be done in any electrical use not just audio...

and anyone paying over $125 for this amp is a retard

good day

Price, value, dollar to performance ratio, stability

Weakness:

Not stable to less than 4 ohm bridged(it clips if ya do it, needs more power!

I am EXTREMLY happy with this amp. I do not know what other people are saying about heat. Heat is a sign that you have a carppy ground and the gain up too high. Resistance in ground+more work for amp=heat(duh). I have this beast on a pair of XLC''''s in my car in a bandpass bvox and all I have to say is wow. It is nice, clear, loud, and no distortion. I love this amp. I have the gain set at 1/2 and I can drive this thing for a good hour hard and when I am done, the amp is just getting warm. I do not know about you, but that is nice. I do not have a cap on this and it is not much of a drain on my electrical system.

loud loud loud, price

Weakness:

something really smells funny after i play it for awhile, but does not affect performance

its not all that bad. i hooked it up to jensens bandpass 10" 525 watt sub, and it is very nicely matched. for a total of 230 bucks(150 for amp,80 for sub w/enclosure) it is quite loud, and sound quality is pretty good. it is really loud in the car, but unless my trunk is open, you cant really hear it well outside the car, a real plus with pissy neighbors.

Strength:

Price Bass response Apearence Sound quality (for the price is fine) Distortion is very small

Weakness:

Very high current use (1A... to 45A) Frequency response could be a lot better

Well, I am gonna make a review of what have been tested. First of all, sound quality is good, and it have plenty of bass responde, even with the bass booster switched off. This amplifier is very stable at 2 ohms, and the heat generated is not very high at all. Distortion rate is very good, but never thing to put at maximum level with less than 13.2v It simply cannot give the full power.

Strength:

cheap

Weakness:

Power is not clean, and gives too much distortion. Also heats up very quickly.

Paid 160 and am pretty unhappy. Jensen is long known for there "beginner" equiptment. I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone because you really don't get your moneys worth. Also it really isn't safe to have an amp get so hot in your car.

Strength:

This Amp is definatly a good beginner amp...however...

Weakness:

It sucks big because of the wattage output is definatly not up to it's max capability even with a 1F Capacitor on it....It's ok if your not being serious about sound...if you want thump, get something else please for the love of god!

I paid a freakin $200 for this piece of trash, and what a waist of money that was...that was way back when I just turned 16 and didn't have a clue what I was doing...Don't make the same mistake...I dont only not recommend it, I forbid it, I veto it, I smash it over you head! Have a nice day ;0)

Oh, also, if I could do like a half star rating, I would, so dont even count on one star quality ;@(

I've used Jbl's which are nice...but any Polk Audio amp equipment blows the dead bodies out of the water, so if you get anything, get a Polk (heh, disreguarding the cost of course!)

Strength:

Cheap, good beginner amp

Weakness:

It sucks

I bought it off a friend for $40 and he bought it new for $130. At high volumes, it clips and is really retarded. One time I didn't use it for 2 months, then when I came home and turned on my car, the output was extremely low. I took it to car audio places and they didn't know what was up. Finally a few days later, it started working normally again. I chalked that up to just plain crappiness.
