Model Reviewed: KAC-959

Strength:

Very clean, no hiss or distortion. Runs COOL! No pop or click at power on. Variable gain for each channel. 3/4/5 channel operation.

Weakness:

No variable crossover on main channels (switchable OFF/80Hz/150Hz).

If you are looking for 1 amp to do the job, this is a great one. I installed this in my 2000 Dodge Caravan with a Pioneer MP3 player, Infinity Kappas and a Rockford 12" HE Sub. It is a great amp! Low distortion, quiet turn on, built in ground loop isolation, crossovers and a variable low pass filter for the sub channel. Great sound with only .08% THD. The sub channel could use a bit more power but overall sound (and bass) is impressive. The only thing I would change is to beef up the sub channel to 200W RMS (instead of 120W) and add variable crossovers (they are currently switched at either 80Hz, 150Hz or OFF. I played this amp load on a 6 hour drive and it barely got warm. You could burn your hand on many of the competitor's amps.
