-UNDERRATED!! As far as i know the ratings that MTX puts out are way underrated. This amp has to put out at least 400W in 2ohm mode. Great Amp for running subs. -You can pick one up for cheap off Ebay!!

    Weakness:

May not be strong enough to power 2 subs, but more then enough power for 1!!!

Awesome amplifier! using it to power 2 pioneer TS-W304C subwoofers, which are rated at 300W RMS each and they still pound like mad!! but I would recommend it for one good subwoofer that is run in 2ohms, giving it 350W RMS of power, instead of 2 subs like me.

    Strength:

BAM!!! wow! this hits my two mtx 12" 6000 subwoofers just fine!! the only thing else i might do it buy the 500d if i wanted to go around shatering windows instead of just seting off car alarms! and it's so small too! great buy... i love ebay.

    Weakness:

    haven't found any yet...

this thing is crazy, i'm not sure how they put all that power in a little black box... i would buy it again! the only thing i might do is up grade to the 500d so that i could rattle other people's rear view mirrors off. i would give it 5 stars but it's not turning off correctly... i have to send it back and get a new one... but it is very much worth it!!

    Strength:

This amp is great. Very underrated. Certificate it came with said it put out 349watts at 2ohm with just a 12V power supply. I have an alternator gauge on my car and I get 14V, so I should be pushing 400watts+. I run 2 Orion Cobalt 10" SVC subs rated at 200w RMS and it can dish out much more than they can handle. Its also VERY compact. It will fit anywhere. Everybody says it will run at 1ohm and I believe them, because it doesn't get that hot at 2ohms. If I get some JL audios I'll run it at 1.5ohms and see how it does.

    Weakness:

Controls aren't really labeled well. You can't tell exactly where your crossover is at.

I would reccomend it for people running a couple lower or middle class subs. Or maybe even one really nice sub. I don't think is can supply enough power to power hungry subs like the Orion HCCA, Infinity Perfect, etc. You can get it for around $230 on the internet.

I used a cheap $50 Legacy amp that blew cause I ran it in 2ohm mono. It could dish out about half as much power, but it wasn't clean at all. Doesn't compare!

    Strength:

This amp is amazing. It produces very clean low bass frequences. It is also very under rated. 224 watts per channel at 4 ohms and 341 and at 2 ohms.

    Weakness:

    None

I would highly recommend this amp to anyone. It produces very clean bass. This amp is worth the money that it costs. I have it hooked up a infinity perfect 10" which makes it produce amazing bass.

Everything, works great with my MTX Thunder 6000's, I have yet to notice any problems with them. Great Bang for the Buck

    Weakness:

    None so far!

I spent 400 bux for this amp, 1 12 inch Sub and the box, MTX THunder 6000 sub, all which are working great, its an amazing system now, and I hope no problems happen, but this is the best I have seen!!

    Strength:

The power is amazing. At 2 ohms it puts out 362 watts/channel RMS and 228 watts/channel at 4 ohms. This amp is very under rated and is very clean.( It is also a mono amp in case you didn't know)

    Weakness:

The frequency tuner is impossible to tell where ur cut off is. You have to set it by ear. It plays from 40hz up to 200. Unless you have a prosceser or some other kind of tuning device it is very difficult.

I am not exactly sure of the retail price but i paid $330.00 dollars for it at Circuit City when it was on sale.

small footprint, underratted, and has those 3 letters across it that lets you know its great MTX all the way

    Weakness:

    LOL yea right what weaknesses
i like the sony's new class d amp because of the wiring flexiblilty though
i wish mtx would make one like it. it will play 1 2 3 or 4 4 ohm subs pretty impressive

LET ME TELL YOU WOW. this amp is the $h*t.i ran 2 kenwood tornado type 12"s and it pounded the devil out of them. but i had problems with the wire lead on them. had to replace them like 10 times. then i upgraded to the mtx 6000 12"s and it pounds them great too.All i hear is DUDE your system is SOOO LOUD.i am soon to buy another 250d and 2 more 6000's and i have a box ordered for them in my firebird. i cant wait to hear that.JUST want to say i havent heard a better sub for the price.I seriously shake everything around then someone looks in my car and their like GEEZ that little amp is making all that POUND and i just grin.if you want great sound dont buy some $h*tty jenson amp and try to run great speakers its just not worth it. I would recomend this amp to ne one who wants to outpound the compitition.oh and when u buy an amp dont think of watts people make me very irritated when they think more is better .my clean mtx 250d watts will out do ne jenson 600 or profile. people kill me
