    Strength:

clear/strong with good features and not to big FEATURES:front-gain/eq/x-overHP-FR-LP/4or2 chanels-----same features for rear and it also has a sum out to hook up another amp

    Weakness:

hermonic distortion at full power on my system

    Strength:

Loud and clean, that's what we all want, isn't it?

    Weakness:

It got warm, maybe because I used 8 guage power wire?

I have this running four Infinity Kappa 60.2cs component speakers. That's 4x6.5" and 4X1" and it plays them obscenely loud and clean. I drove around listening to them for about three hours and the amp got rather warm but kept on putting out the juice. I don't know what that other guy was talking about because I'm afraid to turn this thing up too loud for fear of going deaf.

    Strength:

It it built very very solid. The screw terminals are well disigned and the power and ground can take very large wire. The sound is increadbly clear. It also has preamp outputs which are the sum of the frount and back channels. This makes adding an extra sub wooffer amp very easy.

    Weakness:

    Cost....
Seems pretty pricy but then again it was a gift so I don't care :)

The most basic way I can put this is, It's costly but is very good quality. MTX is also know for under rating it's amps. Mine had a THD of .023% instead of the listed >.1%. In the last review the person complained that it didn't have enough power. It's rated at 37.5 watts if you want an amp with more power buy one with a higher wattage. For my speakers (MB quart componants in the frount and coaxials in the back) it produces more than enough power.

I have a sony xm-1002hx I am useing it as a subwoofer amp so it doesn't really compare but the MTX thunder seems more solidly built.

    Strength:

    this amp is very clean

    Weakness:

the amp just does not have the power to do a good job on a nice setup of quality component sets of mids and highs, i'd recommend this particular amp on a small setup but not a high dollar system

I bought the amp but it did not have the power I was looiking for to drive 4 6 1/2 s
