MTX Audio Thunder421D Amplifiers

MTX Audio Thunder421D Amplifiers

DESCRIPTION

The Thunder421D mono amplifier is all about bass. Bass frequencies require a lot of power, and this amp cranks out 210 watts RMS into a 4-ohm sub. Hook up a 2-ohm load, and the output doubles to 420 watts! To harness all that power, MTX builds in the low-frequency enhancement of ThunderEQ (0-18 dB boost at 40 Hz) and a razor-sharp 18 dB per octave low-pass crossover.

  • 210 watts x 1 at 4 ohms
  • 420 watts x 1 at 2 ohms
  • requires 4-gauge power and ground leads wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
  • Adaptive Class D Technology
  • 85 Hz low-pass crossover, 18 dB/octave
  • preamp outputs
  • PWM MOSFET switching power supply
  • gain control
  • Thunder EQ bass boost (0-18 dB at 40 Hz)
  • speaker-level inputs with SmartEngage (turns on the amp when it detects signal from the receiver, eliminating the need for a turn-on lead)
  • 9-7/16"W x 2-1/8"H x 9-3/4"D
