P.R.S all the difference other amps use pulse width modulation and orion uses pulse regulated supplys the difference is cleaner sound with better response i run my 800.4 at 2 ohm x 4ch . i have a three way in each corner of the car fronts are studio drivers 6.5/5.25/tweets the rears are polk ex3s. i used to run them on an alpine v12 expert ind it did ok but now with over 200 watts to each set they flat rock and my four12" polk subs dont dround them out .ps i run the 12s on one orion xtr 900 at about 300 watts or more each at 2ohm stereo . orion rules

Crossovers and power!

BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT! This has been an excellent amplifer! Sounds great and never heats up. It has never shut off and crossovers are very flexiable.

This amp is awesome I looked for months and it is very hard to a 1mp that looks good is built awesome and puts out the power you need! I have one running my CDT HD components and midbass and it is one of the best sounding highs and mids! I have another running 2 Infinity Kappa Perfects 12's lets just say they will hit!!! Also Orion under rates their amps so plan on getting 500 wattsx2 when you bridge it! Trust me I searched for a long time you won't find a better amp for the money with that kind of clean solid performance!

My system Kenwood X915, CDT HD DT 2way 6.5 components, CDT HD 6.5 rear midbass, two Orion XTR 800.4, two Infinity Kappa Perfect 12,s, 1.0 Farad Lightning Audio Digital Cap, Lightning Audio Storm Series wiring, Monster Cable Micro XLN RCA interconnects! Can you say sound quality or just SPL!

instruction manual is quite lacking, a little on the heavy side. otherwise, the best amp i've ever owned.

i purchased this amp not too long ago for $275 from a friend of mine. i was in the market for an amp, and the price just could not be beat for a brand new, factory sealed amp, so i bought it. i'm running the amp bridged (400x2 RMS) to power 2-12" Kicker Solo-Baric subs, and they absolutely POUND. i haven't gotten a noise violation yet (knock on wood), but i've had several warnings.

the bottom line: if you want good, clean power, look no farther than this amp.

I replaced two punch 800.4's with these amps. The difference was like night and day. The Rockford sub amp would shut off after a while, these don't. The bass is a lot less muddy and the mids and highs sound much louder and cleaner. I've always used Rockford amps but, they just aren't building them like they used to. These Orions sound a lot like precision power but, you can get them for a couple of hundred dollars less. They are quite nice looking too.

I would recomend this amp to anyone who is looking for raw power with finnesse. If you are looking to buy precision power but don't want to spend the money, this will give you the same result. If you don't care too much about sound quality, then you don't have to spend the money these amps cost, buy USA Acoustic or Cruch.

This amp is awsome. It's power output is huge. I have it running to 2 800 watt power acoustik 12's and they pure thump.The amp doesn't produce hardly any heat. It is a great overall amp.

Sound quality is best I've ever heard.
Amp is beautifully understated,... very classy looking when properly mounted. It is simply excellent.

Instruction manual appears to be written by a non-english speaker... even though the product is American... go figure?!
... Still it's quite sufficient.

I bought this to replace the above-mentioned Sony amp after blowing it. The sony was rated at 75 watts x 4, but I am positive that it was under-rated. This amp is rated at 100x4, and the voltage at which it was measured is something like 13.5 (not the unrealistic 14.4 volts that many manufacturers choose). The difference in power is very noticeable.
I have also experienced increased sound quality. The highs and mids are clear and crisp, and the bass is tight and accurate.
One button on the amp was mislabled, but the manual had it correctly explained. Once I figured the mistake out, setup and installation was a breeze.
I believe the MSRP on this puppy is as much as $1000, but I came accross it for under $500 on the net. It's certainly worth over $600 IMHO.
