Strength:

TAIM feature, auxilliary output for daisy chaining with features to choose if you want the other amp to be hp or lp or both hp or both lp. Trilinear feature, hook it up bridged AND stereo at the same time! know what? look it up in the phoenixgold website, everything they advertised is true, if ever, their comments are pretty humble. definitely underrated - yeah thats a good thing!

Weakness:

none whatsoever.

Rated at318.40Watts RMS on the benchmark test, this is one of the best midlevel amps on the market. Phoenix Gold is the best on this stuff. Hooked up to a Phoenix Gold XMAX 10" sub on a sealed box... result is amazing. could easily compete with 2 12's of most recognized brands. The TAIM feature eliminates the "thump" on turning on and off your stereo. Subsonic Filter saves keeps your sub from distorting specially at high volumes. Lot more great features. Pretty small amp packs amazing LOUD AND CLEAN power, although be sure to hook up at least a 1farad cap because it gives out a lot of power. power. power. yeah, PG is the shiznit! XS2300+XMAX=DAAAAAMN!

Strength:

Good clean power, run cool, underrated, great price.

Weakness:

A high pass filter would be nice, but I''m nitpicking.

Very, very good amps...as can be expected from an excellent manufacturer. I have two of these. One runs my front DEI 3055 comps, one runs my IDQ12 sub. Plenty O'' power for both. Very clean, very smooth, and they run VERY cool, even with the gains turned up to get enough juice to the sub. These are deals to be had right now as they are being phased out.

Strength:

Delivers alot of hard hitting clean power. It is definaltey well over 300 Watts of power. I'm inpressed with what this amp does despite it's really small size...

Weakness:

Doesn't look all that fancy but who that doesn't really matter

I have this amp Powering a JL stealthbox in a latemodel Camaro Z-28.
The sub is a JL 10W3-D2. I must tell you the amp really pumps this box. I kept trying to convince myself that I needed something so much more expensive but this amp is so perfect for my application. I'm totally satisfied. The LPL controller rocks!!! I don't think you can go wrong with phoenix gold products.

this is an awesome amp, says it pushes 300 watts but will push a heck of a lot more. is powering a rockford fosgate punch power dvc and has everything in and around my car shaking.

Weakness:

terminals for the amp wiring too small, but just takes some manuvering.

for the price you cant beat it. great sq and spl and pushes anything you can put it to. would recommend it to anyone.

Strength:

This amp can do it's 300 watts plus. I have it hooked up to two MTX 5000 8ohm 15s bridged to 4. The amp doesn't push them to the limit (they have max 300 rms a piece), but it sure does the job.

Weakness:

Likes to blow it's automotive 30 amp fuse when you play extremely low frequencies 25-15 Hz probably just the way I have it hooked up is my guess.

I got it used for 150 and it's well worth twice that. Would be great for a pair of 10s, 12s or really nice 8s.
