I got this amp back in high school 4 years ago. I had two He2 and blew them out about 3 month later. I match my subs and amp up to match. My fault, after that i wanted the P3 but got talked into the Alpine Type R's. Im a RF fan but it's sad to say i love my alpines. Ive had them for 3 years and beat the sh#t out of them in the summer. anyway back to the amp. Out of all my friends im the only RF fan and after having this amp i will only buy RF. Ive seen many friends switch amps over the years because of problems but i don't have any. Two years ago I let a buddy of mine use my amp to test his new subs big mistake on my part. We have put many systems together and never had a problem. But when my friend started his truck the smoke rolled outta my amp. I was pissed becuase i knew my amp was fried. I still run the same amp and i don't have any problems. I dont know what went wrong that day but i can tell you this is my RF801s had been beatin to sh#t and still works i will never give this amp up until it goes. I currenty have two 12 Type R's and am looking to upgrade but this amp is coming along for the ride because i know it will perform well even if its 5 years old

This amp is worth every penny you spend on it. I have it hooked up at 2ohms bridged for 2 kove armagedon z series 12's. This amp pushes the subs to thier max excursion effortlessly. Specs are seriously underated so give it a try.

Strength:

Huge amount of power. Awesome looks. Remote bass knob. Glowing logo.

Weakness:

None really

This amp is sweet. It not only looks good, put it provides some serious power. I have it pushing two Rockford HX 2 12's, and they hit hard. Amp is rated for 800 watts RMS at two ohms, but that is an underestimate. My card said it tested at 996 RMS!!! Wow.

Strength:

nice power load, cool design, rockford reliability, small compared to other 800 watt amps ive had in the past

Weakness:

it is rather annoying to get out the little bit head to adjust the gain and frequency.

this amp is hot, its powering my 2 kicker l5 12 inch subs to their rms no prob it makes then hit so hard my hat moves on my head, the windows and the trunk pound, its a great amp , it lacks a fan to cool it but if u mount it in the proper place it'll stay cool, it has a cool design and the red glowing logo on the front is a nice touch
