This little amp is underated in my opinion.

This is a nice amp for what I paid for it. At first I thought that I wouldn't push the 2 JL WOs I had. After hooking it up this little amp surprised me. It's not as powerful as the Precision Power PC 2100 I had pushing the subs at first but it holds it's own. The gains are a little hard to change but other than that the amp is nice.

everything, power, temperature, distortion, efficiency.....ect.

To be frank THIS AMP SUCKS MAJOR ASS!!!! it's rated at 450 watts peak power and only registered at 35 watts when i checked it. It gets hot as hell and it distorts at extremely low volumes. AVOID THESE AMPLIFIERS!!!!

Everyone Stop Complaining about their amps overheating!! Of course when you take a amp and add a couple of subs and play it loud for a long period of time...IT WILL OVERHEAT...But I think thats a no brainer to figure out. Do what needs to be done..ADD A FAN OR TWO...Problem Solved!! I am running 2 BD1000's to 4 15 inch L7 solobarics. Hence The name on the rear window.."Roll'n Thunder" I have one many DB drags. Punch is and always will bne number one for me

Strength:

Extremely underated. Decent starter amp. Awesome design.

Weakness:

Easily over heats. No Remote Bass Control. Small power wire outlets.

This would be my first amp ever and I was kind of expecting a little more. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I pretty much copied a friend's setup. It is good enough to fill the cabin of my celica and it is waay underrated, but it's not what I was expecting. I am only pushing 1 12' RF Punch XLC, but will be upgrading to 2 JL 12w04's. Hopefully this will give me the boom I want. I think I bought this more because I liked the way it looked. Now I'm looking to upgrade to a RF Power 1100a2 or 800a2. I want people to know I have badass system :)

Weakness:

Positive and negative inputs too small, overheating

First off, I have an MTX thunder 6000 12 in a Q-Logic box. When I first got it, i was using a Audiovox Rampage amp that said 300 watts on it peak, which was not true at all, it was probably only 50 watt rms bridged. I was hoping for some real bass out of it, this being my first car stereo, I was very disappointed. After having this setup for about 2 months, my friend said he came across an older RF 360 watt rms amp. He was using it to run a Sony 10, but he said it kept blowing it up, so he needed to downsize. We decided I should trade him my amp and 50 bucks for his amp. Hooking it up was ok, I didn't like the way the positive and ground connectors were so small, i have 4 gauge wire, and the inputs were way to small, so I had to cut most of the wire off to fit it in. After listening to some rap, I did notice a huge improvement in bass and how quick it responded, and how low it hit too. I went back to adjust the bass and noticed the thing was hella hot, so now I have to keep an eye on it and make sure it's not overheating. It is a pretty decent amp for the price, plus its made in the USA. Good looks and craftmanship.

Strength:

aluminum heat sink, gold plated wire inputs, inaudible distortion levels, clean looking, VERY CLEAN SOUND ( it made a crappy MTX subwoofer sound better )

Weakness:

gets a little toasty

For a long while, Rockford-Fosgate amplifiers were rated " number 1 in the world ". With this title and experience building the legendary Hafler amplifiers, I decided to buy two power 360as. Though this is not the most powerful amplifier, it is very clean sounding and will push subwoofers rated to handle higher powerlevels beautifully. It does get a little toasty at times, but it never seems to distort. It was also very simple to wire and to install, and looks very clean with the wires covered with end caps. I would reccommend this amplifier for an SQ setup more than an SPL setup, but hey, I'm into SQ. Not a bad amplifier at all. I have one of them pushing an MB Quart 3-way component set, and the speakers sound full, rich, and crisp. Makes my front stage sound great. The bass level remotes are cool too.

Well made. Trust worthy name;I just purchased 4 channel RF and it sounds great! Tight punchy bass when used with a 10"

Weakness:

OVERHEATING

Good amp...clean sound but bad overheating problems sometimes on long trips. I have been tweaking it for awhile and have learned that I was driving it too hard. I use it with a 10" MTX thunder 8000 and it sounds pretty darn good. My setup doesn''t give me HUGE bass but it definitely fills the car.

Strength:

Good build quality. Good name. Cleam amp. Easy wiring. Good value for the money.

Weakness:

Initially, looks like a large amp until the "wings" come off. Then it is smaller and lighter than some older 150 models of RF. Does not have the guts of some older models. Poor instruction book.

I bought this amp to replace an older RF 150HD and quite simply, it just won't do it. Initially, I thought it was a "bigger" amp but after removing the wings for control access, I notice it was smaller and lighter than the old 150HD. This was a dead givaway for the resulting comparison. I hooked both these up to the same head unit and driving the same sub (only). After playing with gains and the bass knob, I found myself having to turn the 360 up higher to get the same results as I got from the 150. This is totally opposite of what I expected. The 150 is putting out about 225 watts when monoed and the 360 is at (supposedly) 360 monoed. Yes I played with gains, x-overs etc. Go figure.
I had tried one of the RFs when they first changed over to this "new" type of amp a few years ago and quit making the old HD's and found basically the same thing. It appears that you'll have to buy a 500 or so to get what you used to get from a 150. The old 150s cost 350-450 whereas this 360 was just over 200. Shoulda told me something there.
I started using RF amps in 1977 and have used them since in many different configurations and typically use them mainly on subs. It appears that over the years, RF has learned to make more stable amps at various loads and producing "more watts" for the bucks. But at the same time, the componets do not seem as "beefy" in their output.
Bottom line, this is a good amp for a new system but not if you're replacing an older HD series RF amp. Heep the old stuff or spend a lot more bucks.

Strength:

this amp is powerful and clean regardless to what others say. my setup is not made for the cleanest output, and still sounds beautiful. I have it ran at 2 ohm pushing 2 pioneer 12's. the bass I get is rediculous. I have a pioneer 7000r head unit which compliments the whole system beautifully. The sound is clean and powerful. never cut off on me. never overheated.

Weakness:

can't call it.

I recommend this for anyone who wants a lot of punch in their car but without the nasty side effects of other amps in it's class. I have heard about these new RF amps being sorry because they sell them at best buy, but in my opinion, I ordered mine anyway. my next move is a pioneer 4 channel for my other speakers.
