Strength:

Powerful, tough, and reliable. Will power nearly anything you hook it up to, within reason. Well designed power connectors.

Weakness:

Heats up alot, especially at 2 ohms (Which would be expected). Poor arrangement of power connectors and speaker connectors when looking for a 2 channel setup. Gains unmarked, no scale there.

This is a very tough amp. Its only rated to go down to 2 ohms, but I have had it at 1 ohm and less with no troubles. Currently it is powering 2 Pioneer TS-W255C 10" subs. In 2 chan mode you are getting 200W RMS per side at 4 ohms. Also, there was a flood in my car, and the amp was 3/4 submerged in water. I dried it out and it worked perfectly. Good bang for buck.

Strength:

Clean, accurate and powerful. Good value. Excellent X-overs.

Weakness:

Manufactures defect - intermitent left channel hum on 3 units. Will never purchase a RF amp again. Replaced with Pheonix Gold Titanium series amps.

Very good power, excellent X-overs, good value for the money. BUT...I had to replace it 3 times already! Each time it produced intermittent loud hum from the front left channel. This happened with 2 different cars of mine each with a completely new stereo system (except for the amp) and wiring. Even with the engine turned off and no RCA connected. Swapped the speaker wires and and the sound still came from the same side of the amp (now the right speaker). Traded in for Pheonix Gold Titanium amps.

Now using Pheonix Gold Titanium 400 amp. Also owned (and thankfully had it stolen) a Pioneer GMH-100 amp and an MTX. Only the PG so far is better than the RF.

Power for Subs

Weakness:

It´s underrated, I think about 60 or 70 RMS x4

A great amplifier!! I used some cheap amplifiers before, but, now on, nothing but RF, Alpine or Eclipse. I had the 400.4 and I drive 2 12" sub on 2 ohms, y really kicks, but it get hot nicely... Very good product, a great choice, specially for Subs.

Strength:

I really like this amp. I have this "little" amp pushing 2 12 kicker s12d's. It hit's it really nice. I'm going to get the 800 power or 1000 power to push and the use the 400 for my mids ans highs. But for now it's working very well. I think the price i put is wrong but it is worth it.

Weakness:

The only thing is it get's hot to fast. It use to allways click off on me. So what i do, since the amp is srewed on the box, is pull my rear sit down. The air or ac cools it ans since I did that it hasn't yet turned off.

What else can I say as long as you find a way for the amp to stay cool it will work well. I'm very happy with this amp. Had it for a while and not one promble execpt the getting hot part. If you shop around you can a good deal on a amp that will hit nicely.

Strength:

This Amp really pounds out the volume and DB in my Accord Sedan. I have Kenwood 6x9 (6908) rear speakers that I just paid $100 for also, and they absolutley pound. I had a Kenwood 30x4 amp (went on the blink so I had to buy a new one), and this RF easily outmuscles it hands down, w/o a doubt! At $300 on sale, it was a great buy. i thought about getting an Alpine v12 amp (also $300), but the RF looked meaner. I am very happy I got it!

Weakness:

Nada

This amp is plenty big, reasonably priced, and plays loud and with authority. If you like your music loud, but very clean (I play CDs mostly)then this amp will not dissapoint you!

Strength:

The power, 50w RMS each channel and it is underrated. It make my speaker really pump. I used kicker resolution component all around, and it sound great. It is a good amp for the money and power.

Weakness:

It doesn't have great detail and it tend to get really hot. I figure out that Fosgate should just be use for sub.(too bad i dont have the money now to get a Zapco)

Always put the amp to high pass if running component speaker, dont put it to normal. Mount the amp vertically, it runs cooler that way. Have to get the right hook up for this amp, it give the amp a lot more juice.
