Strength:

Lots of power, virtually no distortion. By the way, I think this amp looks great, better than the new 2001 models. I never had any heat problems. I was running two 12" Kicker CompVR subwoofers, and this amp makes 'em bump.

Weakness:

A little distortion at very loud levels, but I think it might be the subs. Also, there is clicking (more like bumping) from the subs when I turn off the ignition. This may occur because of the way I wired it, but I'm not sure. The crossover should have more settings. Overall, this amp has been very good.

This amplifier puts out clean power, the 150 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms is underrated. I would say it puts out more like 200 watts RMS a channel at 4 ohms. This is an excellent amp for your two 10-12" subs or one 15"+ sub. I got it at a great price. Buy from the Internet or end up paying hundreds more.

I had a Profile Baja 400 watt amplifier before (when I knew nothing about car audio). This amp probably only put out about 50 watts RMSx2. The Rockford totally blows it away, no comparison.

Strength:

I've had this amp for about 2 or 3 years now and it pounds the hell out of 12" JLW3.

Weakness:

The only weakness is that it heats up REALLY fast. If it's about 90 degrees outside and you're beating for over 20 minutes really hard, it will kick off. To some, they may understand, but to me that is unacceptable. I can't believe that in the new amps they STILL don't have a fan

Overall a good amp. A little pricey though considering it doesn't have a fan.

Strength:

You are crazy if you think this thing doesn't hit hard. I had it to two 12" Infinity Perfects and it was pounding.

Weakness:

Like all Rockford amps it will heat, but mount it in a place where the heat fins will work and it shouldn't cause too much of a problem

I reccomend this amp if you have the money.

Strength:

It's surprisingly loud for only being 500 watts.

Weakness:

It heats up after 20 minutes. It's a Rockford. It's ugly.

I would recommend it to a person who is not looking for a earth shaking system, but a mild kicking system. I just bought cuz I needed an amp right away.

Strength:

This is a great amp. I haven't had any problems with it. I have heard other peoples system that have smaller amps and havent heard any that can put out the bass that this one can. I like the fact that it has a set of pre-outs right on it so it is easy to connect another amp and subs to your existing system.

Weakness:

The only weakness is the power terminal does not fit 4 gauge wire.

This is a great amp that will out power similar amps. The sound quality and hard hitting bass is outstanding.

Strength:

take end caps off and doesn't take up much space, doesn't need to be turned up far bump and will occasionally grab the back of your neck. but please people hook this up to subs that are worth a damn

Weakness:

maybe price but not for me,that's it this thing has set off alarms

BANG, BANG, BANG is all me and my neighbors heard once i got this thing on my 2 very perfect(infinity) 12s. It's nice when people come up to me and ask me how many 15s i got in my trunk. whoever says this amp gets to hot doesn't have it mounted in the right spot cuz mine has never come close to getting overheated. this lil' thing rocks if you need strong performer go rockford but i highly recommmend infinity perfects 12s. if you are interested in buying the subs or the amp email me www.no1stunna81@aol.com. I gotta sell my sounds because i am going to get a new car which means new system. oh yeah the subs will be brand new guranteed.

Strength:

Great Quality. reliable.

Weakness:

from what i've seen, the price for a brand new one is enough to turn me away, but none other than brand new price

Just bought it this afternoon, it was used from a black Dakota at the dealership i work at... nothing wrong with it, bought it from my boss for 50 bucks, didn't have any clue what it's worth. it's hooked up to one Jensen 10 in. sub, and it hits real real real hard. no problems with over heating, yet... but it's not at full output, but pretty close too it.

best i've ever heard. sounds better that my friend's 2 rockford fosgate 10's hooked to a Jensen 300 watt amp
