Strength:

Looks. You can do a lot with the Fosgates as far as amp racks go.

Weakness:

The gain (not the punch bass) is very hard to adjust without the right tool.

I have been very impressed with this amp. I've run JBL's, Blaupunkts, XLC's, Black Golds and even Road Thunders all at one point or another with this amp. One of the Road Thunders blew up with in two minutes as soon as I put on Slick Rick. I had a wall of 4 12" XLC's in my back seat hooked up to the 800 and it hit about 139 dB at the competition. It sounded really good too. I have three friends who have the same amp and they all love it. One has 8 12" Punch's hooked up to it (about 150 dB). One has the four XLC's that were in my back seat. My friend also had it hooked up to 12" JBL GT1200s in his Pontiac 6000 until the whole car got stolen. Eventually I'm going to build a box for 4 10" Blaupunkts and the 800 should be a perfect match. Awesome amp!!!!!

Although it retails for $800 big ones, I was freakin' out when I got it off EBay (brand new) for $380! Nice deal. I owned the 500a2 before and knew that the 800 would woop some more ass. With added 5 inches of heatsinks than the 500, I knew that cooling would be substantial. Running mine bridged to a Punch Power 12 from Rockford with 1086 biggies. That's right, 1kwatt. Needless to say, the sub rocks. Sub runs a lot warmer than other amps I've owned. They say that's cuz the heatsinks are doing their job dissipating it. Hasn't shut down yet with mine running a constant 115db for 3 hours. Rockford must be right about that. This amp sounds really good. Nice and tight on the bass for any type of music. I'm impressed. Awesome/accurate/loud bass will cost you some of that child support payments, but man what a nice amp can do to a system. My only draw back is that...does this thing have to be so @$%#-ing huge? It looks cool though. If you have the trunk space, I'd suggest you pursue with getting one. Make sure you have an alternator that'll pump out minimum of 80amps or your lights will dim. Highly recommended.

I have it push 2 RF DVC 15's amp has never shut off. I have not had a temperture problems with the amp. The amp is very versatile and can be used with a lot of subs on the market. I would recommend this amp for anybody that wants a lot of power so your bass can revive the dead.
