Strength:

Bang for your buck! These things are cheap as heck for the quality you get. and the visatility is unmeasureable

Weakness:

Makes me wanna slap some skateboard wheels on the bottom of the thing. Its a very large unit

My amp came with the truck so the search wasn't that hard. Figured that I would grow tire of it and use it as scrap. I had this amp for over 3 years now and it still suprises me on what it can push! I had it set up @1ohm, 4 ohm, DVC DD, 4 Orion N/T, and a few other trial setups that the other guys amp wasn't pushing enough. Total suprised! I ended up getting a matching 4 channel to run my setup. For the price of the two, I'm suprised on the clearity and power it can muster up. It does warm up a touch but @1 ohm with 12vlts..... it just going to challenge any amp. the size of the unit will make up for the heat and push it away from the unit. I had this amp running 1ohm in the bed of my truck, cover over the bed, with Missouri heat wave, and it never skipped a beat for a 3 hour road trip would willingly recomend this amp to anyone. Never thought a Sony amp would hold up soo well

Strength:

It is the best value,1/2 ohm stable, best used to power any subs, most people bridge a amp and sub to get more power, In this case you dont need to it produces enough power TRUST ME. comes with a built in FAN

Weakness:

It requires 14.4 volts to opperate correctly, as everone before says it gets hot, thats because they dont have 14.4 volts, thats a lot of power, more than most amps use, if amps dont get enough voltage then they tend to get very hot, mostly the size is the weaknesses almost perfect amp

This sony amp is by far the best amp I have ever owned, when use correctly with care a the right voltage 14.4 volts its the toughest amp out, pheniox gold cant even come close to the amount of power this amp puts out for the money, by far the best amp for the dollar. It powers my 2 Rockford Fosgate HE2's like a thunder bolt in my camaro

clean, lots of adjustment (sorry audio pros, im 16 and to me this is good enough, i dont have a thousand bucks to waste on one amp to pump my old skool rap) looks cool in my hatchback with the bright red color

Weakness:

gets hot red color attracts vandalism

i have this amp running 2 jl 12w3''s in a sealed box. this is the loudest and best setup i have heard to date, and im not just saying that because its mine. i live right near a big sony outlet and got this puppy brand new for 169.95. it runs my amp and gives it clean power and it does get hot, but dont most amps heat up???

POWER

Weakness:

size and it heats up very quickly when used in mono mode

this amp has a lot of power for the price that you pay. i have three volfenhag 12 inch subs bridged into one channel of the amp and they are pounding very well. i plan to hook the subs up in dual mode and have them wired to both channels of the amp.
the downside of the amp is that it says 1-2 ohm stable but when i hook the bridged subs up in mono and cut the amp up, the the overcurrent light turns amber, which wont allow the subs to play

i had a pyramid amp a long time ago and it doesn't compare to the power that this amp gives

Strength:

looks nice

Weakness:

doesnt work

selecting this amp for my first system (or any system
for that matter) was my first mistake..in acquiring my
other components, i chose only the best..kenwood excelon
cd player with 4.5v preouts and all the bells and whistles,
matching excelon components all around, including an extra
set of excelon crossovers and tweeters, then i purchased this
amp and a single infinity perfect 10.1 (for my std. cab ford
ranger)..i have had nothing but problems with this amp..since
having it professionally installed, i have had a total of about
15 minutes worth of listening time in the month that i have had
it. It has already been into the shop once, where it was fixed
after several weeks, and now, after retrieving it from the shop,
it is time to make a return trip as it is once again screwed..
i would highly recommend anyone wanting to actually listen to
their system to stay away from this product at all costs..if
possible, i would give this product 0 stars...

Strength:

Solid output at 1 and 2 ohm, cheap, durable

Weakness:

Pretty big (but it WAS easy to mount)

Although its only rated to 350 x 2 at 2 ohm, mine seems to be pushing around 400 to 425 constant without any problem at all. Bottoms my 10" OverDrives like they were toys and its a damned good match for a couple PlanetAudio Vector15's. I run it pretty hard, and it's given me no problems at all. Never even overheated the thing.

Pushing out great sound in an '83 Suburban.

This thing is a dream, at the price, if you're driving a couple large subs. I've heard that it gives some people trouble when they run it hard at 1` ohm, but I haven't dealt with the high current settings too much.
