Model Reviewed: KRC-409

Strength:

Dolby B, freq range to 18kHz; bright, simple display, CD changer capability. Removable faceplate. Removal of deck easy with tools provided to access CD changer 13pin port.

Weakness:

No volume knob... really most decks do not have knob... pushing vol button difficult while driving especially in traffic, but then this true for almost every deck. Note: CD changer requires "O-N" switch for text display, magazine random play, etc... Kenwood provides very little info on which deck has what, so some research needed.

Beautiful deck. Visually elegant, very different that the gaudy decks out there. Major improvement over factory deck in sound quality.
