Strength:

-good looks -auxillary input -rotary control -value

Weakness:

-no detachable face (the cd player looks very tempting for theft) -3 preset buttons leaves 3 sets of FM stations, and 2 sets of AM station to access from function button in addition to the the cd and auxillary input mode so switching from one mode to another may require annoyingly many pushes of the function button -35x4 power is somewhat low especially for those with complete aftermarket stereo systems

the aiwa cdc-z107 is a great cd player! before i installed it, i was expecting a decent deck but i was amazed when it was up and running. the first thing i noticed was the brilliant blue lighting visable at night. it looks absolutely impressive! however, during the day the lighting can''t be seen very well. second, i was surprised to find so many features for such a inexpensive cd player. one feature i appreciate very much is the auxillary input. i own a portable minidisc player so now i can listen to my custom mixes in the car. the frequency response when using the auxillary input seems to be smaller especially in the highs but this may be due to my minidisc player. this by no means however ruins the auxillary input feature. third, the display is very simple and clean. the yellow text may look unattractive in pictures but in reality, doesn''t look bad at all. overall, this is a fantastic cd player considering it''s price.

Strength:

+Great controls
+Great appearance
+Great features
+Great value
+Great 18-preset (FM) receiver

Weakness:

-Only one H-Bass setting (Off and on)
-that's it!

This is an excellent CD Receiver. Everyone who sees it (especially at night) comments about how amazing it looks, which it does. The glowing blue on the edges gives it an awesome look at night, as well as in daylight. The whole face flashes with volume change, which brings attention to it. It has 35 watts per channel, which is not amazingly powerful, but it does well for the average listener. It has a great control setup that is very intuitive. Although there are only 6 preset buttons, there are 3 FM sources, so there is a total of 18 presets. This receiver has many features that most other brands don't offer at this price, including an Auxillary input on the faceplate. The H-Bass feature greatly improves bass without distortion, since the Bass and Treble can be adjusted from -7 to 7. The H-Bass can only be turned off and on, unlike more expensive Aiwa systems with 3 settings. This is the only negative point about the stereo. This system is very versatile, with a 2.2 volt preamp output. It seems like a basic system due to its simple appearance, but it has loads of features. Most everyone should find this to be one of the best CD Receivers in its price range.

My factory Clarion tape deck. No comparison. The Aiwa has more amplification, better sound reproduction, and is so much better in every way.

Strength:

It has CDR/-RW playback and a very cool sleek neo blue & silver look. It features smart jog illumination and cool blue lights on each side of the CD player that flach on and off when the volume is turned up or down. This is an awesome CD player.... Period.

Weakness:

No detachable face but for the price you can't get a better deal. Although you can get this model w/ detachable face for about $30 more.

This CD player is the best value out there with this many features. It has just as many features as some high end kenwood, clarion, pioneer, with the exception of the irremovable faceplate. If your looking for a great CD player at a great price grab this one now.

Strength:

Plays CD-R/CD-RW, puts out really good sound (45 x 4), and it has a smart jog dial for volume and other adjustments, and a really cool blue light display that flashes when you move the smart jog thing.

Weakness:

None that I have found yet.

I think this a cool cd player, and its really good for the money that you pay for it, and if you want to buy it, then do.

Basic In-Dash CD Player, the quality of it is right up there with the best, but you pay much less.
