Strength:

Nice sound

Weakness:

See review, many issues.

if the sun is shining directly on the display it is hard to see. One needs tiny fingers to hit the right buttons espically going down the road. You really do need a manuel to figure out how to run the darn thing. Face plate will not stay on tight, thus returning volume to bottom of sound cycle.

Strength:

appearance, ergonomics (location of frequently used controls, 4 ch pre-amp, rotary knob, just about everything

Weakness:

the one and only thing I'm not crazy about is that if the sun is shining directly on the display it is hard to see

I bought this player because I wanted 4 ch. pre-amp. So far I couldn't be happier, I've had it in for 2 weeks and it has not skipped yet. It has 23x4 rms but I only use the line outs so I can't speak for it's amp power. I love the rotary control, it saves a lot of time poking on buttons. The reason I bought this player is because I owned a '95 model blaupunkt cd player which was still going strong after 5 years, the only problems it had is that the buttons were severly worn and the fm reciever had intermittent high pitched static (cd function is still excellent). If my new player lasts as long ast the old one I'll be sold on Blau for good. The only thing I can say negatively about it is that it doesn't have some of the sound enhancing capabilities of the high end recievers. Now...will it stand the test of time.

Strength:

Easy display, good sound for money.

Weakness:

No controls for changer, but I do not plan to use one.

Just purchased from Audio Warehouse for $159 Plus Free speakers. I don't see how you can beat the value for that price. Nice looking, sounds good, and X bass helps with OEM speakers.

Had other Blaupunkt changer, worked very well.

Strength:

Large Display, neat graphics, continous time display, flip down face; easy to acess. Great power (23.5 watts/rms). Quick loading time for discs

Weakness:

Takes a while to adjust volume since you have to turn the knob alot to get higher volume.

$199.99 at Crutchfield. I would certainly reccomend this unit for anyone that wants a nice looking and well performing cd player. If you do not like the flip down face style, look elsewhere, it is overall better though, because it keeps dust out of the cd slot.
