Model Reviewed: Clarion DRX5675

Strength:

The outside rim of it is silver and it blends nicely with my dash. Plus the fact that I want to throw it out the window gives me an excuse to buy the Panasonic Ghostface or the JVC El Kameleon i've been looking at.

Weakness:

1. the sound sucks 2. you can't adjust the bass, treble, or fade 3. its ugly 4. it skips all the time 5. i want to throw it out the window and run over the evil thing.

This thing came on my used 99 Mercury Cougar V-6 when I bought the car. Thank God I can finally afford to replace this horrible thing next week. It will NOT be replaced with another Clarion. It skips all the time, and its not very attractive. It kills me that the retail price on it is upwards of $200!!!! HA HA I would be embarrassed if i had picked this out if I paid more than $50 for this horrible old thing.

In my old car, a '91 Honda Accord EX, I had some Aiwa with nice bright blue disply lights on it that cost me about $175, not even on sale. I just picked the Aiwa because it was pretty. Well anyways I

Strength:

It is easy to use, and doesn't have a lot of things that I don't need. I wanted something simple, but something that could also allow me to add high-end components later on. It is a flexible deck without all the gadgets and foo-foo stuff. It also came with a remote which I use all the time.

Weakness:

I do wish it had a little more options, but what can you expect for 140.00! I wouldn't pay the 200-250 dollar retail price for it though. The remote is also a bit too big.

I would recommend it if you can get it under 150.00. I got mine on ebay, and I would definately recommend to anyone looking for a car reciever, to check out the auction sites first before you buy online or at a store. Overall my clarion sounds great, doesn't skip, has everything I need and want, and isn't at all flashy. If you like old-school style with new-age technology, this is the perfect cd reciever.

Similar Products Used:

I used to have a '98 model Kenwwod Excelon. That was a great player, but it had so many things on it I never even touched. The two don't even compare. But after having a deck with a million options, I would definately vouch for the simpler one.
