Strength:

The sound quality is very life like, you can hear sounds on CD's that you can't hear with other decks, due to the 24bit D/A converter. Amazing 64color display with many backgrounds to chose from. Built very well. Many options to fine tune the music. Gotta love the variaty of spectrem analyzers too.

Weakness:

Screensavers could be more defined. Clock could be visable in more locations than just the one screen. Power antenna goes up EVERYTIME unit is powered up. Cheesy remote for such an expensive unit. Motorized face is a bit underpowered. No internal amp. EQ is only a 3 band, when it makes it look like a 9 band.

Product is very eyecatching! Best sounding CD player I ever heard. Display is one of the best. Pioneers animations are better, but I'd rather take the Clarions 64 color display instead, as Pioneers, "blue" gets quite boring. One pain is having to flip thru the different screens just to check the clock. THe unit is setup for nice and makes it easy to use for as much as you can do with it. Many ways to tweak the sound. The motorized face seemed to be a little underpowered compared to other units out there. Well to sum it up, all units have their downfalls, but I would still greatly recommend this deck to anyone who is serious about sound and competing. The stuning audio acuracy and dazziling colored screens, makes it definitly worth the $$$.

Strength:

I think that this product produces great sound quality with a nicely put together color display. The preouts are nice at 4v and has an extra volume for the extra output, for subs or other speakers.

Weakness:

i think that the only weakness on the whole thing is that the animations could probably be a little better for the type of display it has, some of the 3d ones on others look a little better, but sound quality is more important to me

I would get for the sound quality and the ability to later run a possible tv tuner off of it. The product is great and the sound is amazing

only products to compare it to are the DEH 82 and 9200 models and some of the other high end head units

Strength:

Killer display, awesome sound quality, real easy to use, good instruction manual.

Weakness:

sensitive CD player - due in part to the 24 bit D/A convertor (hey, everything has a slight weakness)

I paid $600 for this unit and I belive it's worth every penny. It combines a great CD section with a 24 bit D/A convertor (the same type used in DVD players) and all the features of the DPH7500z outboard processor. This unit goes back to a form of the old alpha touch system which Clarior used for a number of years. I feel this system is a little more user friendly then the prism key/round volume knob used on the last 2 years models. This is truely a fun piece of equipment to have in your car or truck. One thing to note is that this unit does not have an internal amplifier which means you have to supply the power. This is definately a receiver worthy of competitions. Includes a remote and a great instruction manual to get you through most of the tough situations. Don't be afraid to crank this deck either because it sounds great at all volume levels. It has a 64 color display with titling capabilities and a screen saver with a dolphin one that ladies just love. I would certainly recommend this unit for anyone looking to push there system to the next level - I know I did. Turn it up and enjoy!

Strength:

This is the ultimate deck for display characteristics. This unit has an entire digital processor built in. It sounds as accurate as music on a CD can get, very smooth and yet crisp sounding. Endless amount of options to change screen savers, equilization, title memories.

Weakness:

It still uses the bulky remote control.

This beauty runs a pretty price tag of about $700. The fact that this single DIN unit has an entire digital processor incorporated into it, this makes it one of the most, if not the most powerful head unit on the market! The display will wow anybody with its 64 color active matrix display which is more of a mobile monitor than a CD player display. The high volt pre-outs and 24-bit resolution D/A converters make the sound down stream of the unit as beautiful as the unit itself. Anybody that has a chance to see and hear this deck will be mesmorized by its ability to be a visual stunner and also and audio one.

Strength:

This unit is unbelievable, with a 24 bit D/A converter, 64 color dot matrix display and built in processor, making the best head unit I have ever seen or heard.

Weakness:

No volume knob

This unit is hands down the best head unit on the market. With it's 24 bit D/A converter, the music comes to life. And it is so versatile. The built in digital signal processor lets you adjust your music anyway you like it and the display is beautiful. I can go on and on about this unit so I'll just stop now. I got a really good deal on this for $500 and I believe it's worth every penny. I previously had a high end alpine and this clarion blew that unit away. Alpine can't even compare.

I must say this head unit sounds unbelievable! I was listening to a pioneer 8000R HU and that sounded horrible compared to this. man the clarity is amazing!
