Strength:

Can't say. Never heard the product work.

Weakness:

Doesn't work. Initial failure on start up.

Bought a pontoon boat with the cd3010 Jensen installed. Never used it for over the warranty period. Tried to use it the other day...It doesn't work. Boat dealer won't help. Audiovox wants repair charge to fix. Note to self... Never buy Audiovox or subsidiaries.

Strength:

easy to use and install

Weakness:

skips all the time

Well, I will start by saying, I did quite alot of research in choosing a cd player. I purchaced this one for the value and features. easy install, easy to program and use. But I would not purchase this Item again! This is why... Every time you hit a bump in the road, it skips. Interstate driving is ok, but if your like me,that doesnt happen to often.Town driving, dont even bother inserting the cd.All it will do is skip and soon you will be mad enough to rip the whole thing out of the dash and toss out the window! Buy one with anti-skip not anti-shock.

Strength:

Great sound - after all it is a Jensen. If the problem(s) were eliminated, I would purchase it.

Weakness:

Too many error messages showing up. All because of the same reason regardless of the media used.

When I bought the used vehicle and was elated that it had a Jensen sound system in it. The sound was good - played a CD the first time I put it in. We listened to the radio after an hour and then attempted to replay the same CD. The ER-4 message showed up. The man who sold me the vehicle had given me the paperwork on the unit and I reset it. I've had to do this at least 4 times which means you have to reset all your favorite stations, time, etc. When it works - it's fine. When it doesn't - it's a PIA.

Strength:

Cool when it worked.

Weakness:

Didn't last 2 days.

Starting to see a pattern here. I bought a CD3010X saturday, monday I get er-3 er-a and er-4. And the cd will not eject. Quality products, do not break 2 days after you buy them.

Strength:

Good sound Easy install Low cost

Weakness:

Cramped button placement Poor website, online information No song location memory

I must first state that I bought this product used so who knows if the previous owner beat on it. Currently the reciever does not play CD''s, only tries to read it and gives a ER-4 message. From a design standpoint I has some flaws. First, The power button is WAY too close to the UP volume button; so when you want to turn it up but are paying attention to the road (You are aren''t you) you can easily shut the unit off. Second, It doesn''t remember where you left off in the song. So if you''re in the middle of the song and shut off the car, when you get back in it starts from the beginning of the song. Lastly, Jensen''s web site sucks for tech support (The operation guide was easy enough to find though). I will try phone support during the week but their site should at least give me some clue as to what ER-4 is all about. I DO like how easy it is to read and program. Quality is also very good and i''m sure if the CD player worked i''d be much more forgiving of it''s shortcommings.
