i bought this reciever on ebay from a guy who bought it and never installed it in his own vehicle. it was brand new in the box. i had it for about 8 months, then someone stole my truck and ripped the entire system out of it.
this stereo rocks. this was my 2nd JVC (someone stole the other one not 10 months earlier) and with both of them, it is virtually impossible to make CDs skip. i aslo had a jvc 12 disc cd changer hooked up to this thru the changer control hook-up... worked wonderfully. this even has a video input (if you have a tv/vcr in your vehicle and want to run it thru your system).
you can label anything on this (inputs, radio stations, etc.).
it has an automatic volume control that increases/decreases with the RPMs of your engine, which you can adjust to your liking.
the carbon fiber face and display look awesome. i got tons of compliments on this one. i am definitely getting another. the sony md decks dont even compare.
this was a little pricey when it first came out ($700) but if you look around, you can find it for $400 or less. definitely worth it.
if you are in the market for a MD car deck, this is THE ONE.
