Strength:

Sound customization possibilities, power

Weakness:

lots of ways to control sound can sometimes make it harder to get it right

I got a pretty good deal on mine from ovation, nonetheless I would recommend this product to anyone who has subs in the trunk and factory inside speakers. This CD player makes great high quality sound and is very clear with well defined bass.

Strength:

Power

Weakness:

None

Too many functions can be quite scary. Pain in the ass to change CDs from the unit. Face flipping up and down. Lack of bass if powered from the directly from unit, my stock unit in the Mazda has more punch..but sounds very clear high/mid/low despite crackin up the volume until my ears starts to ring. Not user friendly otherwise excellent. User manual doesn't explain much.

Strength:

Faceplate flips over automatically to amazement of passengers (and theives). Great sound because of high signal-to-noise ratio. High power: 45 watts X 4. Remote.

Weakness:

Faceplate can be a pain. Slow loading because you have to wait for the face to flip down. Most controls inaccessable when loading. Some options too complicated to use when driving.

I would recommend this because of its clean sound and high power. My factory speakers scream. It makes a fine base for a good system without breaking the bank. You will notice a significant improvement even if you just have a factory system. Your friends will love the faceplate (and the dolphins!)
